Nearly every neutral person (ie not a Pacquiao nor Marquez fan) agrees that the decision coud've easily gone the other way. So if this is the then why wasn't it a draw? Yeah PacMan had the knockdown but Marquez was the defending champ.Don't they sat the that is supposed to worth something?Don't they say that the challenger has to win outright in order to take the belt? It was a tough fight to call. It could've gone either way.
Jerry Roth scored the win for JMM because he landed more shots and power shots.
However, Duane Ford and Tom Miller gave the fight to the Pacman because of his aggression and quality damage. Let's not forget that cut on Marquez's eyelid was from a punch and the doctor could've stopped the fight in the 10th or 11th via cut.
Give kudos to the cutmen from both corners for limiting the bleeding on both boxer's eyes.

you can not hit your opponent while he is down. now in boxing the definition of being down is anything other then your feet touching the canvas. this means your ass, knee, back, ect. even your glove. if you lose your balance but don't go down and if your glove even grazes the canvas then thats considered a knock down. so i guess the question is whether or not any part of marquez touched the canvas other then his feet when manny hit him. its really at the discretion of the judge though.

I for one know a little bit of boxing, this saturday, 2 great fighters will go toe-to-toe. Manny is ranked #1 in his weight division. And rumor has it, after this fight, the next fighter that wants to fight him is Oscar De La Hoya or Juan Diaz. Both are good fighters, but you cant under estimate Manny.
