@Istojataachatearme as good? definitely not. good? yes. and whose to say they dont look like dwarves? dwarves are from germanic mythology, and scholars arent even 100% sure what the germanic people had in mind for their appearance. as Tolkien really kind of brought back the dwarven race into modern literature, he could've had them look like whatever the hell he wanted as long as they were mountain-folk of short stature.

This is a complete rip off, and kind of embarassing as a result. Peter Jackson had succumbed completely to his urge to be as camp as a row of pink tents by this point in the trilogy. It was pretty much downhill from here.

The only similarity with the two is that it's a morale booster from a leader to his men before a major battle, which is in many films, plays, and other forms of artistic license. That doesn't mean Jackson had as you say, "succumbed completely to his urge to be as camp as a row of pink tents by this point in the trilogy". Also, LOTR was filmed all at once so for all either of us know, this could've been shot near beginning/middle/or end of filming.
