Fuck country music of today. They have to do covers of the old guys b/c they can't come up with stuff near as good. I bet more than 1/2 of the ppl in the crowd don't know who, Waylon, Charlie, Merle even are. Check out some underground country such as Randy Howard for starters,, ,now thats country.
Amen to that. The country today is like just pop and rock with fiddles, steel guitars and cowboy hats. The real true pure country that did not take from any other genres was the Classics from like late 1920s to 70s. The stuff today is just a bunch of crap to me. The only new stars basically that I like are the traditionalists like Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson and Randy Travis, but still nothing beats old Hank, Johnny, Willie, Waylon, Marty or George Jones. It's sad.
