@TheBeatSmasher The reason for the complicated setup is for recording multiple midi devices at the same time. The way you describe works great for one device, but multiple people recording two keyboards makes for a bigger headache.
I'm trying to do exactly the same but when I drag the pin of the keyboard to the channel strip on the mixer window, suddenly logic quit unexpectedly and send a error dialogue window. I'm using Logic pro 8, with a M-audio profire 610 interface, and a mac book pro 2.53 Ghz, intel core 2 duo with 4GB Ram. I hope you can help me.
Great Job. Excellent Video. I am still not able to record in Logic. Its able to recognize reason but unable to create the beat in the track. Not sure what I am missing
Also, I've done several tracks in Reason that I would like to "record and/or mix" in Logic for mixing purposes...Any idea how can achieve this?? Thanks a million for your reply in advance!
@EarthToneMusik the only way you're going to achieve this is to record the audio from Reason and place whatever tracks that result into separate tracks in Logic. I've never really tried to mix down anything directly from Reason before, but I'm sure there are a bunch on YouTube.

Hey there. First of all, THANK U very much for the videos...you've done a great job at explaining how to Rewire from Reason into Logic. I have 2 issues I'm hoping u can help me with. How do I get Logic to recognize several instruments from Reason separately using only 1 midi keyboard? I followed your instructions but can only get 1 instrument to play/trigger in Logic.
Core Audio is the driver for your sounds. While I'm not an expert on this particular topic, Core Audio is the "brain" for sound on your Mac. If you don't have a midi keyboard or other interface to handle the input of your sound (AKA, something other than your Mac that can handle the processing power needed to process all your sound), you should choose Core Audio in your audio preferences. I hope that helps a little.

It sounds like your drivers for your MIDI devices or your plugins may be causing some sort of glitch. For a little while, something similar was happening to me because of my Guitar Rig 4 plugin. I had to reinstall it and it worked fine after that. Also, check your audio preferences before you start doing anything in the environment. make sure you're trying to work with a driver or device that is currently connected. When unsure what to choose, just go with the default of Core Audio.

Wow you made this way to difficult. All you really have to do to play midi from logic into reason is:
1. Create a new Midi Track
2. Select Media, Library, Reason.
3. Select the resaon instrument you want to play through.
All the instruments and devices from Reason are listed in Logic.

@likethedesertband How'd you get that "style" where when you click it has that vibration or puddle looking thing around it?
seanbond8 6 months ago
@seanbond8 it's an app called Screenflow for Mac. You can get it in the app store.

Well, there is a Logic and Reason for everything! Sorry, I couldn't resist, nice video!

@Jorgepumax Again sorry for the insanely late reply, but I have to say this question is a little out of my league. I hope it works out.
