But - if we were resting in a perfectly blissful, overwhelming peaceful state of being, why create anything? We would have had no desire to do anything as there is nothing more perfect than the perfect bliss we were experiencing before the big bang. Yet for some reason we made a decision to create the cosmos? Where did that desire come from? We clearly could not have been in a perfect state of 'eternal' contentment.
