Dirk, Dwight, Rose and Amare are some examples of players that are leading the ranking and whose teams are performing great mostly because of them

You could make a point about Kobe not being an MVP kind of player right now. But saying that he isn't a top 3 player is just sick. Kobe has been the best player in the league uncontested since 04 and he is still the most skilled and complete basketball player on this planet. Dirk, Dwight, Rose and Amare is not close to him at all. Chris Paul and LeBron is the only two who are close.
