  • Ainda não vi muitos videos de capoeira, mas esse foi o mais interessante.

A continuidade dos movimentos dele tem sentido dão um sentido alem do histórico; Biomecanico, Magnético. Harmonioso!

    Feliz que isso exista.

  • His moves and combinations are very cool, I wish I could do the half of them someday !

  • Never really understood Capoeira.

Is it a combat system, martial art, dance, sport, art, fitness (like yoga). Or is it more like a sport like parkour? I know it can be all of the above, but what is it meant to be really?

  • @adamfunck capoeira is a culture mix of all of the above.. but most of all its a martial art made by the slave from africa who came to brasil from the slave owners to defend themselves from their owners 500 yrs ago .. hope this answer your question.. =)

  • amazing moves of Capoeira!

  • I gotta say, he's a hell of lot better than I am at the acrobatics, but, seriously, he is looking at the ground almost the whole time. Do that in the roda, and you'd get a broken face!

  • Obiously hes not gonna do that in a roda. i mean when im doing al those flips nd stuff nd im practicing im lookin at were ama land

  • RONALDO

  • it's not angola, it's miudinho, just as the title says

  • Miudinho is just a faster paced Angola, not a separate style.

  • amazing

  • people that say you cant use capoeira for fighting are true idiots.

  • bad ass

  • i think this is the guy who capcom used to make eddy gordos moves on tekken

  • Tekken was made by Namco. Mestre Marcelo who lives in The Bay Area was the capoeirista they used for Eddy Gordo's moves.

  • @unclebraddah Thank you for sharing your capoeira videos online, you really contribute to the capoeira scene with such good pictures, see our page for new dance capoeira stuff from brazil like batizado, rodas and capoeira event video from 2010.

    © 2010 Capoeira Senzala Paris

  • @unclebraddah I thought they used Lateef Crowder as their model. : /

  • @cataclismicberry1 Lateef wasn't on the scene yet.

  • @unclebraddah

Im sorry to disagree but the one they used for Eddy Gordo's moves is lateef crowder

  • @DJsasuship44 Again...not the case. Lateef wasn't even in the entertainment business yet. Would you like Lateef's # to verify it?

  • @unclebraddah

whoops srry i just looked it up on wiki my bad

  • @unclebraddah Did you read the interview where he made a big deal with the Namco guys about how Eddy Gordo wasn't a name that Brazilians would give their kids? haha

  • @victorrain Eddy is not a brazilian name. It would be Edson, or Eduardo, or something like that. Gordo is a nickname. It means fat.

  • @npsantoss Thanks for the info. Are you a capoeirista?

  • @victorrain Yes, I'm capoeirista. Although not so good as as is Miudinho hehehehe

    Do you do Capoeira too?

  • @npsantoss I wish...I don't have the build for it. I wish you all the best in your training.

  • Guys we all KNOW its not MMA. :P Its a heavily stylized martial art thats impractical for real use. I have boxed and kickboxed for many years so I know that as well as any. BUT, this shit is fun as hell to do man, especially when you get a good jinga going. Hell of a workout too. Just enjoy it ppl, I know I do.

  • This guy is amazing!

  • capoeira brasil

  • jaja simon es eddy de teken yo kiero ser asi de kavrn jaja

  • EDY TEKKEN! XD

  • :( Check Lateef Crowder. i think thats more Eddy tekken :P:P

  • awesome!!

  • Alguem sabe o nome da musiica?

  • KICK ass Song! Anyone know what its called?!

  • This song is from the creator of the Miudinho himself: Mestre Suassuna E Dirceu, Song-name: Capoeira, Album-name: Capoeira Cordao de Ouro II =)

  • are reigonal and angola capoeira actually different styles of capoeira and different ways of fighting?

or are they just different games?

  • Oliiiverr,

They are two different styles of martial arts, similar to the different styles of Kung Fu.

The difference is that Angola uses movements taken only from original Capoeira and fundamentals from African tradition. Its effective on the street because it teaches adaptability and trickery.

Mestre Bimba made regional different by adding influences from western culture and eastern martial arts. Regional today has become more violent, acrobatic and eye pleasing, but its lost its Africanity.

  • this shit only gets violent if you give him a gun or a mashinegun

  • you take a kick in the head from him while he spins full force moron

  • ok what im saying is this is like a kata its a display of techniques some that wouldn't be used at all some that are used in certain situations. Capoeira mata um its not practical be u can still get beat by it

  • @miha75moha doubt it

  • He's using Miudinho from Cordao de Ouro. Its more or less acrobatics used within a capoeira roda. The movements were adapted so it's a bit of a mix between Regional, Angola and it's own element added. The Miudinho game is usually fast paced though..

  • you guys gotta realize capoeira isnt just acrobatics and maybe...just maybe he is a good acrobatic person but might have some problems with the basic movements

  • i seriously doubt he has any problems with the basics. you can't advance unless you master the simple stuff.

  • O CARA É BOM!

  • I appreciate your concern brother. But that doesn't means that all African music and colored African people remind of witchery and Black Magic.Theres nothing wrong here.

  • U can't just lurn capoeira in 1.5 year...!!!!

capoeira is becoming your life...lifestyle ;)

  • i know this doesn't matter...but is he wearing an eric cartman shirt?

  • lol. I've seen this a number of times, but never noticed that.

  • too good to be true:))

  • that form of capoeira is authentic

  • the starts looks like angola

  • yea it does but something else like contemporary mixed in.

  • Como capoeirista, é um belo bailarino, pula pula, feito pipoca e técnica mesmo que é bom, ainda não vi, venha ver capoeira de verdade no Distrito Federal

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wish that i can do this too:(

  • you can do it if you really want to learn

  • Your comment "Wish i could do this too." You can learn it in about 1½ if u take your team and put your mind too it. :)

  • I agree, completely amazing!

  • woohhh

    ameizing !!

  • he looks like sean from sf3:)))

  • great movie i want to do that

  • he makes it look so easy.... but its not at all!

  • 00:06

  • i just learned that. yaaah. lol

  • bacana!

claro q é real seu bobo isso nao é video nao :)

gostei muito do movimento de 00:09

  • ese video es muito bom eu quiero eprender a facer todos esos saltos

  • beautiful low arabian into negative at 0:56 !

  • name of the song?:)

  • Nice capoeira!

    Almost like it is breakdance!

  • that is right.

  • Mike Tyson does not approve

  • I still don't see Capoeira as eficient as other fighting systems, but this guy certainly looks good :)

  • have a look at the 20 second capoeira knockout vid on youtube and tell me that isn't effective

depends how you were trained and who trained you

most people don't learn capoeira da contato

  • Well, of course it can be used in real fights, but I perceive it as having a higher number of "weak points". Its guard is great for being constantly changing and keep almost unpredictable, but it suffers of many unstable positions. Most of the attacks, if blocked correctly, easily lead the practicioner to the ground. And of course I don't see it working well against grappling.

Now take this comment with a pinch of salt ;) Still don't consider a single style to be perfect.Rather a mix of many ;)

  • cross it with BJJ and you have a winner

    =P

  • i do see your point on it being easily blocked but as it being unpredictable you can strike a second blow in an instant that and with this style youll be able to hit your opponents in spots that no other style can

  • well obviously you wont do a hand stand in front of someone but a meia lua de compasso kick or something similar will definatelyl put someone down.

  • THis is why i love CAPoeira !!!!

  • nice display.

i really like the idea of capoeira, and really wanted to do it... i finally found a place close by that i could attend and went for a lesson..

i cant put my finger on it as to why, but i never went back :s

  • capoeira is like a fire. some people feel it and dont want to get burned. others embrace it for what its worth. and the the simple beauty of it.

  • muito bom capoeira nota dez.

    GEGÊ montagens.

  • Man i wish i could do capoeira...

  • nice acrobatic tricks, but queixada and meu lua de compasso not at the highest level

  • it was rabo de arraia not meia lua de compasso

  • So much flow, god damn.

1:09 - end was my favorite part

  • lindo video...esse é o verdadeiro capoerista

  • Doing that on sand is not easy/

  • buenisimo!

  • oh la la ..

  • The real Eddy Gordo! Lol. Amazing.

  • Whats this music?

  • wow, he is good

  • an interesting thing about capoeira, different people have different still despite of similar moves. :D For those who doesn't know, you can actually know whom does a capoeirista learns his capoeira from by just looking at how he plays/fights. Go learn now, its not an easy martial arts. Sometimes, it justs take years to play capoeira "beautifully". I'm not advertising, I'm just sharing how fun and interest it could be and how does it attracted me to join and attracted me even more after i joined!

  • realmente esto es artistico !!! magnifico!!!!!!!!!

  • Joga bonito!!!

Capoeira was forbidden, that's the reason why they mixed with dance. Many people say Capoeira is not good for fight. They should change their opinion after see video like this.I play capoeira since 2004 and sometimes I can use it in the streets against gipsies, who wants take my phone or money.......

  • Én is azért tanulom.

  • i go to capoeira in sweden and its really cool, but i dont think you should learn all of these movments with out learning the basics, you can only use these in a solo play for show. And some people are just born to be natural capoeristas (im not one of them i just do it for fun). it isnt like any martial art because people arent meant to get hurt its not a enemy vs enemy typ of thing, you try to play around with your opponent rather then beating the crap out of them.

  • I could do that but it'd be the last thing I'd do before I spend the rest of my life in traction. I used to do capoeira but not with this much skill. Iguess I'm too tall.

  • is that sansao?

  • Sancao from ACDP? No

  • south park t-shirt! :D

  • This is impressive, especially since it's on sand.

  • Some of his movements were kinda mesmerizing, a bit different from most of the Capoeira stuff I've seen on here. Smooth to.
