  • This isn't a real language so I don't see how there can be lyrics, but certainly they go along with the overall mood of the song.

  • You know what I think of when I hear this song? Hope. I think of hope. No matter what problems that we, humans, have ever been through..there is always Hope.

  • Oh my God so awesome to listened ..... i love music tease so look expanzive. When i hearing this music song i like flying on the sky and won't come back anymore............Thank's for the shared.

  • @shanty40rof this is heaven on earth ;)

  • What's the language? Is it Hebrew? or Yiddish?

  • @Carolarny1 It's a random language she made up. She said so herself.

  • i love this song so much.

  • @t77z1 It's easy to love this song ;)

  • It is a song speaks to the soul....

  • This is so calming and it make's me think about life....heaven and death...how people's life's are so fragile and that everyone's uniqie in the own way,it make's me cry :')

  • The Translation Is Absolutly Beautiful!!!!!!

  • @bobfari tnx alot =D

  • found this song by accident, and am now in love!!!

  • @kellybelly1004 Congratz ;D

  • i can't stop repeating the we de ze zu part <3

  • @azzurro3o1 It is kinda catchy haha

  • @chingpongionglong yeah *__*

  • which language is that??

  • True, there are words in this which seem to have been taken from other languages, like Shalom, Nom & Flavum, & even Flesh, but they have a different meaning here, in the idioglossia Gerrard sings in. They have a meaning of her own, in a language which she developed at age 12

  • I love this music, is very nice an I love the music of Pearl Harbor "There you'll be"

  • @KiaraAyme that's a nice song, indeed! :)

  • i will see you not yet... Not yet..

  • my eyes have started to pee...

  • Shalom-Hebrew meaning peace

    Flavum-Latin meaning yellow

    Nom-French meaning name

  • beautiful just beautiful. Lisa Gerrard has the most beautiful, beath - taking voice I have ever heard. It just puts me in tears. :')

  • An angel's voice...

  • Magnifique chanson <3

  • this song is such beauty to me

  • @ManuenFrance Wakes up the sleeping soul!

  • I'm Irish and proud. She has a beautiful voice and speaks perfect Gailic (the real name for the Irish language) however this song is strange; escpecially with those 2000 roman soldiers that disappered in Ireland when they attacked to wipe out my ancestral people. what ever happened to them, we'll never tell.

  • @KivaDrakkor I think I've read about those soldiers. Mystical.

    I love the Irish language btw!

  • @KivaDrakkor lisa gerrard is not irish she is australian the language is indioglossian wholly created by her not gaelic

  • wow!! she make me pee and cry at the same time.lol....have you feel that before??

    how God give us the oportunity to heard an angel voice... I can stop playing this song...lol...»»»»»»»»

  • @speeeedy77 hmm never felt like that lol xD

    Voice of an angel, you got that right :)

  • uhm i did cry... such beauty

  • @simuliax emotional song doesn't describe it very well, this is more then that! :)

  • @simuliax Same... It made tears in my eyes from her voise (Sorry if I spell something wrong)

    The song reminds me of life... It makes my mind turn in to a glalaxy with thoughts sworling and just siting in a chair with my eyes closed I go to each thought and just ... Well almost medatate and just go out of your body and walk on water as a ghost.. Thats shows how us humans can be anything and thats what I think of the song.

    ~~~~~
  • who can dislike something so beautiful this is a blessing
  • oh i havent herd anything so beautiful in ages
  • whatever language this is, the syllables are beautiful...the sonorities are smooth (i am not talking about the music itself-which is gorgeous). They seem to come from a more peaceful and more advanced place - another planet maybe.
  • @otavioandradas songs like this rly sounds like they're from a paradise of some sort :)
  • @chingpongionglong heaven
  • @otavioandradas from what I know its irish but i could be wrong!
  • Could you ask for a better piece to fall asleep to.. I'm going to nap now..
  • una cancion tan motivadora..!!!
  • @cristian199548 yes indeed, makes you feel stronger in a way =)
  • She sings it in Idioglossia a made up language
  • i love this song
  • all the problems maximus went thru and he still kept his promise to cesar. Despite fatal wounds, despite him losing his family, despite him losing his own freedom, even death would not stop him from freein rome and keeping his promise. kinda puts all my small problems into perspective.
  • @EMCardona1 One of the most loyal generals of Caesar's I take it ;)
  • i love this song in gladiator
  • @shay068shay it rly fits into the movie, doesn't it :)
  • i like this song.... very good
  • A great song and strong effort on your part. This video has inspired me.
  • @phen256 Tnx!
  • oh, that interesting.
  • Search Lisa Gerrard on wikipedia
    "Gerrard sings many of her songs, such as Now We Are Free, . . . in an idioglossia (an idiosyncratic language) that she has developed since the age of twelve."
  • @phen256 I've seen that too. As I've said numerous times, it has to be inspired by some other languages.
    Tnx for your comment!
  • @chingpongionglong The sounds are english and she says it is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I think, if she wanted a translation, she would provide one.
    I only ask that you preface your translation with a statement about their source, for example "a thrustworthy source". As you said earlier.
  • @phen256 I can do that, ofc :) tnx for pointing that out!
  • @chingpongionglong To my ears it sounds like Hebrew and French with an African language (Swahili?) mixed in.
  • @BiracialGoddess not bad. at least the influences are there.
  • Run ludunt in agro cum ponies Run milite Romam iam mecum Run ludunt in agro cum ponies Run milite Romam iam mecum Run ludunt in agro cum ponies omnipotens Libertas Omnipotens freeer animae VOCO VOCO et cogitaverunt Nunc demum in pace Etiam rhoncus Dulce est haec terra Nemo credere potest aut intelligi Veni dulcis est familiae nostrae iustis quantum Ut ibi corruisset descendit cum eis, quando mundo Nunc autem requiem mihi. Ego nunquam alieno Quam nunc ego sensi Factus sum free.
  • @chimgpongionglomg is this song in lain, cuz if it is then the trancelation is wrong. If it were latin then it would be.... omnipotens Libertas Omnipotens liberior animae VOCO Ambula mecum Per agros aurea Etiam rhoncus pulchrum Nos paenitet, delicta nostra, sed ... Lorem nere nostro fata Vultus imbecilla ac maneo Under faciem meam ego subridens Aaahh) Neque solum / times Donec sit amet faciem meam Run milite Romam iam mecum Run ludunt in agro cum ponies Run milite Romam iam mecum
  • @LongLiveRome it's not in 100% of any language, more inspired by many.
  • Look at the video response. There is no translation.
  • @phen256 That video response, however, included some kind of translation (seems like it's from a christian point of view) :)
  • @chingpongionglong Which begs the question, why is your translation still on this board without making it clear that this is just a guess and only Lisa knows what it means?
  • @phen256 'Tis more then just a guess, at the time that I "released" this video i had a thrustworthy source that this was (if not THE translation) one of the "better" ones.
  • @chingpongionglong That lacks credibility. Your sylable translation is clearly off.
  • It's not in any language. She uses invented words to suit the music, she talks about it in her interviews.
  • what is lenguage ?
  • @buczo213 As i have told countless other ppl, I can't give you a 100% correct answer to that question but feel free to lookaround here in the commentsection and also, join the discussion if you have some own ideas =)
  • @chingpongionglong Latin, isn't it.
  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Some words are hebrew (or hebrew inspired). Probably some latin-inspired ones aswell.
  • Lisa Gerrard is just out of this world, she is just phenomenal .. I can listen to her all day long and it still is not enough. Very few others have had that effect. Shes so great to listen to. The end is also just an amazing song, her voice is what id love to take to heaven with me. Even if i go to hell it would not metter, her voice has the power to make hell, Heaven!
  • @CarpMagic95 She is amazing, got that right ;)
  • This song gives me an unexplainable emotion. It makes me remember humanities good and terrible times at once... But the emotion is unexplainable.
  • @MetalRock7777 Interesting, does it come in waves or through the whole song? :o
  • I keep coming back to this music. It is my best movie theme song of all time! Something about the mystery of the lyrics keeps holding us all spellbound. It's good that it has no meaning else we could easily analyze and psychoanalyze it some more and destroy its beauty- let every man interpret it in his own way. I'm an African but can listen to it all day! Music has no boundaries.
  • @Islesofhome nice to see an african commenting for once :D you ppl got the rhytm on your blood! us white ppl are not as gd in dancing as you are. It truly is one of the greatest movie theme songs, indeed. Music is a multinational language ;)
  • @chingpongionglong hahaa. Its only because I said so. Don't worry, we are always around. There are no distances now. Thanks however for the good work. I went through the hundreds of posts spanning over a year of so and you always reply posts. You are more like the Gatekeeper of this music hall :-)
  • @Islesofhome Gatekeeper of the musichall, I like that ;D Just think it's polite to answer ppl, since they took their time to comment my vid ;)
  • What language? I swear i thought this was Hebrew or Arabic
  • @aKillerStudent Only Lisa knows for 100% sure. Sorry
  • @aKillerStudent To me, it sounds like one of the African dialecs, though which one is beyond me
  • It is really a pitty and i am so disappointed that the lyrics are nothing but sounds and that they don´t really have any meanings. It is a really wonderful melody for words that cannot say anything. I guess, that the only goog thing about it is its vibrations.
  • It's not Hebrew... It's her own language which she uses from she is 12 and that when she used she thought like this was the way to talk with God as she believed she was doing this when she sang and talk in such language!!!
  • 1:55 - 2:23
    LOVE IT!!!!!
  • @19Tolga77 Aye, so do I!
  • Just thought I'd throw this out there, the original language is Hebrew. In case nobody figured that out yet. =P
  • @Lightbrightz and with "original" i take it you mean the language she got originally inspired off? :)
  • @chingpongionglong Yes, haha.
  • @Lightbrightz She doesn't sing in Hebrew, it's glossolalia. See it in her website under interview > misc
  • Beautiful song thank you for putting this on here :D
  • @Roloyum No problems! :D
  • If you dislike this Lisa is gonna raise from the dead and kick your ass!
  • @DKmasterLP Don't you need to be dead to rise from death? ^^ But yeah, she's kicking butt :)
  • @DKmasterLP - the lisa thats singing isnt dead lol
  • if u like dis den u will love song to the siren
  • @atttd44 Aye, tnx for the hint :D
  • what language is the original song in?
  • @movieobsessed93 Can't help you there unfortunately, because this IS the original song =)
  • @chingpongionglong haha yeah i know that... i meant what language is this?
  • @movieobsessed93 No-one knows 100% sure. Browse the comments here and see what your mind makes of it ;)
  • Is this the most beautiful song I have ever heard? I really think so.... I'm in love with a song whose lyrics I don't understand :)
  • @ebuzoro ;D These kind of songs are maybe the easiest to fall in love with, since there's no need to concentrate on the lyrics. Just close your eyes and listen ;)
  • Now to put my neck on the chopping bloke................This song is about a guy who fights for his freedom if not every guy who has fought to be free, he lost his family, his life more or less for what he beleived in.....................This song should reflect every single one of our (western world) forces that are fighting to either free people from tyanny or fighting to free themselfs from tyranny. Am I making sense at all?
  • @TheMarchpane Aye, you're making sense :) But i guess I could add: not only the western people, but all the worlds people. Tnx for commenting =D
  • What a beautiful song. It made me cry.
  • @Knightphall Aww =)
  • how did you translate it? is this lisa's translation? cus as far as i know this is just a made up language that she created herself
  • @chriswis1990 I never get enough of telling ppl that that question is one of the worlds greatest mysteries :)
    I found a website 2 years ago, can't remember wich now unfortunately, that had a pretty reliable source.
    Either way, some words in this song actually do exist (and/or are inspired by real words). Tnx for commenting!
  • There is no translation. Lisa says this is her own lauguage from the holy spirit. Only she knows the translation, and she isn't saying.
  • @phen256 It's not a "word-to-word" translation, it's more of a "word-to-meaning"translation if you know what i mean =)
  • This song is so pretty it puts me to sleep at night every night 4 the past 4 days even on one of the worst days ever
  • @Agenttots1 Yeah, it is soothing, isn't it? :)
  • Nunc Libero
  • @SuperJellyMoose Could've called the song that aswell ;)
  • Is this a Christian song?
  • @Mr4433 yes and no. Every religion has their own God, and since this (according to some ppl) is the language of God one can say it is a christian song. And a muslim song, and a jewish song etc, etc :)
  • @chingpongionglong - Thanks, then its pretty much like every other song thats "Christian", where people can apply whatever meaning they want. I prefer songs like this that actually ref the Gospel in the Bible and speak of propitiation of what Christ became for us.
  • Lisa y Enya dos Diosas!!!
    Tema dificil de traducir,pero te llega de verdad
    Buenisimo!!!
  • @virtualuis25 Thanks alot!! Yes, they rly are two goddesses ;D
  • i totally agree with ddbarnes11 :))) its just make u think about all precious things in ur life
  • This was my Uncles Favorite song
    it was played in his funeral
    R.I.P We miSs You :(
  • @margie604 Sorry for your loss =(
    I bet your uncle is now running in the fields of Elysion :)
  • how can there be a translation?!?! it isnt a language :S:S
  • @demon4411 Aye, but still. I got this from a (at the time) reliable source. Will probably be the closest translation we'll ever get.
  • @chingpongionglong And a good job you did. A lovely song, thankyou so much for posting x x x x x
  • @MOSESCAT69 Aww, tnx alot =D
    Glad you liked it!
  • This is such a beautiful song! More inspiration for my writing!
  • @MadamWriterGal Cool :D
    What kind of books do you write then?
    Wish you best of luck!
  • @chingpongionglong I write fantasy adventure and science fiction books.
  • Most amazing lyrics ever written
  • @MetaCrawlerz Aye, I agree :)!
  • OMG!! what a song..... it encourages me when i have to face something..... i'd like to know which language is the song written
  • @earthberni Alot of ppl wanna know the language, and alot of ppl allready have an opinion of their own about what language it is. I'm sorry, i can't give you the 100% correct answer :) But feel free to look around in the comments on this vid :)
  • the language this is sung in isnt REALLY a specific language. its Idioglossia. An idiosyncratic language, its a language one makes up all by themself usually as a child. Its used commonly between siblings close to each other. such as twins
  • "Nom De leesh" sounds to me like she eats XDDD jk jk...the song is greit! :D
  • @DKmaster90 haha ;)
  • this is the language hebrew of Israel
  • This song is written in "languages". The main language that all of us will speak in Heaven. Lisa Gerrard has communication with Angels and Archangels that have teach her the "languages". Open your ears and you will understand that is a song that refers about the transition between life and afterlife. That simple!
  • @iltenorecubano I'm not a big fan of religion but i believe everyone is aloud to have one (of course). I rekon this language could be a "language of the heavens" if you believe so. Tnx for commenting!
    Happy new year btw ^^
  • Comment removed
  • @iltenorecubano No, she made the language up in her head. She has been developing it since she was twelve. It is actually not something unheard of. Twins usualy do this, bit she does not speak 'heaven'.
  • This soundtrack should have won an oscar. I want this played at my funeral.
    It is such an emotional track
  • @Talisa1811 Aye, i agree!
  • If tomorrow was the end of the world this would be the song I would want to listen to before I die...
  • @ddbarnes11 agreed!
  • @ddbarnes11 Hell YEAH!
  • @ddbarnes11 This surely would show remorse for the human race, our planet, and also make us remember the good times. This song would be a great send off for the end of the world, I would die happy.
  • Is the language in Latin or Hebrew?
  • @DreamsAsleep4Ever As i told Reese373: "I'm gonna send you to the comments-departement of this vid ;P
    Join the "wild" discussion if you want to :)"
    Tnx for commenting! :)
  • his is the devine language.
    Hear the message in your hart and make your conscious choises.
    Choose or the choise will be made for you.
    I am growing impatient.
    Stop lying and remember your promisses to the father, the sun and the whole spirit wich is in you all..
    Spread the message of love, don't wait for my final warning.
    Now choose.
  • @222jeseah I just wanted to add that the hatred comes from the extremists (no mather what religion they have)
  • What Language is this?
    Be you're own god and choose what kind of god you want to be.
    Our time is now
  • @222jeseah One of the most thoughtful comments so far! Thanks!!
  • @chingpongionglong thank you john, you help me being me, now be yourself, for you are the voice of your own god.
    We love you.
  • @222jeseah John? hehe love ya too!
  • FROM 1:01 T0 THE END, SONG IS EXCITING
  • @romga23 I'm glad you like it ;)
  • well....you rock for doing this... one of my favorites...i always listen to this in the mornings whilst im cleaning my living room, and i honestly had no real idea what it even meant--or what language it was in, before seeing this . great. now i can picture running playing in the fields with ponies and whatnot....as i fluff my couch pillows! ;P
