With a stock 5.0 block you're better off with a roots style blower like this. When you get to aftermarket blocks or a W then you go with a big hairdryer.

S trim vortec v2 is still a pretty good supercharger. I got one of them on my 94 cobra.

ya when it comes to anything above a v6 99 percent of the time a supercharger is way more reasonable and dont comment on this because if u think not than your a dumbass

I must be a dumbass because you can turbo pretty much anything, and psi for psi, turbos make more power. Not to mention there is no parasitic loss from a pulley, so if you were to supercharge say an inline 6 (m3), a supercharger at 10lbs may make 420whp, and a turbo would make like 500whp.. s/c provide instant response from twin screws but turbos are more efficient. That said I would be happy with a s/c OR a turbo on my foxbody.

@dnovak21 turbo's can put out more they don't put a drag on you're engine like a supercharger does . The only difference is spool up or lag .
