as a person that has worked with and around whales and dolphins, whales are so fweird and unny about their environment, i think if they built her a pool as big sea world's or something she'd stress out and die, ive seen it happen,because shes lived in it for long.. and shes the world's oldest aquarium orca, so i take it shes not ill
the reason why she is in a zoological park is to educate people like you to help save our oceans and animals by educating people to have a respect and love for these animals.if people didnt visit places like Miami seaquarium we could not make people educated on that we need their help saving these animals in the wild. Lolita is an advacate for her kind.

@jmcmahon8 She has not lived in that tank her whole life. She was captured in 1970 from Penn Cove WA, and taken kicking and screaming away from her family and put into that tiny sub-standard tank. After Hugo died (which was decades ago-Hugo also taken from the same pod) she has not been able to communicate with another orca since. She needs to be retired to a seapen off WA coast. Her mother Ocean Sun is still alive, as is her immediate family.
It's kind of sad that she needs to swim around the tank 3 times to get enough speed to perform the trick...why hasn't Sea World or somebody used their muscle to help her?

Another way to make them listen is to make sure that all the other shops and businesses in Miami know why tourists dont come to their city. The other shops are losing money because people hate what their city is doing to Lolita.The only way to get her free is if it is costing people money. Seaquarium doesnt care about poor Lolita just about money. Take your vacations elsewhere but tell people in Miami why you do it.
So if the ones that go there don't know about her conditions , maybe we could tell them......Miami may be thriving, but many people do know about Lolita and would be unwilling to give any money to the city that continues to allow this. *gasp* i got a brilliant idea! if im ever forced to go to that place (which i dont want to go to such a cruel place anyway) ill stick my hand in the tank so it can bite my hand off and i can sue the place for all theyve got. then theyll have to give up all their animals to places that will actually take good care of them!!!

But they could've put her in a bigger tank. Being in a small tank causes diseases and sickness, and can also cause the whale other issues.
Yeah, people do need to be educated about them, but it doesn't mean they have to make the whale suffer in a such a tiny tank. =(
