  • I am atheist, though I consider the orthodox church to be the real and pure Christianity

  • @trupoed14 Remove this ridiculous racist comment

  • Vyechnaya Pamyat ~ Memory Eternal!

  • Wiecznaja Pamiat!

  • Memory eternal!

  • As a Roman Catholic, I respect the traditions of Orthodoxy. I am happy to see respect for its ancient traditions, which disappeared for so many, many years.

  • @Augie47

i think you have a vision that will allow you to see more, to see the real truth! just pray to see the real truth and God bless you!

  • That was beautiful and very moving. Thank you so much for posting it.

  • May God Bless his spirit.Long life to Orthodoxy "the right way" around the world. Many blessing from an Albanian Orthodox.

  • Long live Orthodoxy, and may His Holiness find peace. Let us hope that he has already!

  • @Opolye long live israel

  • Christ has risen, and the Head of the government of Russia paid there repects, religion is back in Russia

  • @bogzini And this is a good thing !

  • @imperator2403 As André Malraux said "Le 21ème siècle sera mystique ou ne sera pas !".

  • i don't understand why christians cry when someone dies? if they know that there is a god that will take care of them when they die!!

I wouldn't cry i would be happy if i were so sure that god is going to take care of my beloved one? but no; they cry, maybe there is a little doubt in their hearts about the existence of god?? this is just my opinion i don't want any angry responses!!

  • they cry because they know they will miss them dearly in this world, even though we know the seperation will only be temporary.

  • We can still be sad for a persons death even though we know that we might see them in heaven.

  • its just a selfish reason to cry we cry becuse we mis their being with us on earth

  • @newtothis231 Even Jesus cried when Lazarus died.

  • The most beautiful and moving music ever ... Vechnaya Pamyat.... I love the Russian Orthodox music.

  • I think is bishop Cyril, the new Patriarch, Cyril!

  • I wonder who the bishop is who was crying so very hard while he was saying his prayers beside Patriarch Alexy. I wanted to hug him and tell him it is going to be ok.

  • was he the equavalant to the roman pontiff ?

  • No. The equivalent of the Roman Pontif, is the Primus inter pares (the first among the equals), His All Hollines, Bartholomew I of Constantinople who is the spiritual leader of Eastern Christian Church. However, Alexey was the leader of one national Church (the Russian Orthodox Church) which is the largest and the richest in the Eastern Orthodox realm.

  • Actually your about 3/4 right. All Patriarchs are equel in the eys of Orthodoxy however, Hi All Holiness Patriach Bartholomew is the First Among Equals who would be the Speaker for All Orthodox if a Great Council would conven. No one Patriarch has like the Roman Pope has power over the other Patriarchal sees. There are 5 original sees, Constantinople, Jerusalem, Antioch, Alexanderia and Rome.

  • Christ is risen. Indeed, you are more exact. Your adding makes everything clear. Thank you.

  • Memory Eternal.

  • Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Requiescant in pace. Amen.

  • QUE SUA MEMORIA SEJA ETERNA.
