Millions of people do not have health insurance in America. Many people go bankrupt because they don't have health insurance and tens of thousands die each year because they don't have health care.
Lieberman is a prostitute of the health insurance industry. Ironically, the majority in his own state wants the public option. Lieberman is a fucking asshole.
Joseph Lie bermann supports his country-ISRAEL ! He's just like the rest of the dual-national ISRAELIS who control our government, they are nothing but Israeli agents, infiltrated into the US gov to promote Israeli interests. Liebermann is a traitor to America and should be tried as an agent of a foreign government.
Americans have more to fear from their own Zionist controlled government, than we do from foreign terrorists. The 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by Mossad in order to anger the American public enough where they would support an American invasion of Iraq in spite of the fact they had no WMDs. Our government knew they didn't have them but since they are paid off by AIPAC, they will do anything Israel orders. We have enemy agents working in our gov and that means we r under foreign occupation.
Joe Lieberman is not for the interst of American people. He has other interests, especially the Middle East
He supported McCain because he is intent on having America muddling in the Middle East. Obama's dad is a Muslim, so Lieberman thought Obama would be less tough on the Middle East
This guy doesn't give a damn about anything the average American cares about
Well if "some" Jewish groups defend obama than obama must be okay for Jews, lol. So does olberman think "Jewish groups" represent all Jews.? w.t.f.? the personal attacks on "lie" berman were completely out of line and the big o needs to apologize.
Lieberman is drowning. He's reaching out to ANY thing he can find to keep his Traitorous, Arrogant, out of touch, useless lame duck ass in the headlines. Next week he'll announce he's a communist.
Haha! Poor Olberman just cannot stand the fact that a democrat bailed on his own party. Can't blame a guy for not getting brainwashed by a puppet who gives speeches written by other people. Oh ya, that puppet would be called Obama :)
Too bad Obama has pretty much clinched the Presidency. And when the dems sweep congress in November this fucking piece of crap will be cleaning the senate toilets
Haha....I take it you didn't watch Palins speach tonight. With only a 7% lead I can promise the Obama campaign is shitting their pants LOL!!!!!
I live in Wasilla. I know Palin has LOTS of skeletons in HER closet. Choosing her CLINCHED the presidency for Obama.Palin is not fit to lead and most Americans know it.
So what if a few million right wingnuts are coming all over themselves over her. She will drive ALL independents away from McBUSH. I bet Obama is laughing hysterically not shitting
Why is the drama queen so upset that Lieberman just says what we all know - that the terrorists prefer Obama? He rants because the truth hurts. Then the drama queen tries to spin the story to sound like the 'political wing of Hamas' is a respectable endorsement for Obama - what a pantload.
Why are liberals so upset when one of their own 'reaches across the aisle'? When McCain signs onto left-wing bullshit, he's admired as a 'maverick' by the media. I guess mavericks aren't allowed on the left.
Lieberman isn't a liberal though. He's a conservative or at least he's turned into one. I have no problem with him being one, but he should lose his committee seat since he's actively campaigning for McCain. Join the Republican Party. Fine by me, but don't fake the funk that you're a D/I. He's not even a Blue Dog Democrat. I'm mean I'm all for calling a spade a spade.
Lieberman is still a liberal, he hasn't converted. He may not support the Democrat party on foreign policy but his voting record on everything else is solidly liberal. He's officially independent. He can pick and choose, free of party loyalty. He shouldn't claim to be a Democrat. Is he doing that?
The point is when McCain breaks left he is a 'maverick', but when Lieberman continues to support US foreign policy he's a 'traitor' to the Democrats. Lieberman has been consistent and was re-elected based on his record. He isn't deceiving his voters by presenting himself as something he isn't.
Olby's twin brother on here is bringing stuff up about Liebermann dating back to 1988. FFS - Liebermann was the VP nominee in 2000 and there wasn't any question about his 'loyalty' then.
Just seems to me that the Republicans are more tolerant of dissenting opinions. McCain, Hagel and the other RINO's are proof of that. These guys bed down with people like Ted Kennedy and get applause from the media and left for breaking party loyalty. When Lieberman maintains the exact stance he has consistently held since 9/11, he is a 'traitor'.
Remember that it was the Democrat party that effectively bounced Liebermann and put the anti-war candidate up. Loyalty should go both ways. The treatment of the Democrats to one of their longest serving senators and 2000 V-P nominee shows that it doesn't in the Democrat party.
In fact McCain doesn't "break left". His voting record is pretty consistently right. This notion of him being a Maverick Republican is a fiction, good media spin, just like Obama being a far left liberal. He's not. Lieberman pretty much said he'd still caucus with the Democratic party when he won in '06 but that's pretty much a lie. Now granted the Democrats in Congress haven't been worth much as far as change goes since then but still Lieberman is a GOP man, pure and simple.
McCain has been far left on some critical issues like amnesty/illegal immigration. McCain was pretty much the worst choice as far as Reagan conservatives are concerned. He's sat down and worked with people like Ted Kennedy. A true conservative could never find common ground politically with someone that far left.
In effect he is claiming to be a Democrat by keeping his committee seat based on party seniority, but he's campaigning for McCain. So yeah he's a Democrat when it's helpful to him and the rest of the time he's not. They'll boot him out once the Senate gets more Democrats after the 08 election.
Lazarus - Seriously now, give me a break -Lieberman's stance has not changed on the war on terror, he has never wavered. He believes security is a non-partisan issue and the most important issue today. He said that at the start and is still saying it. He has remained a liberal on everything else - but because he agrees with Bush on one thing he's not a Democrat? Get real.
Despite that failed coup d'etat staged against Lieberman's seat in '06, he has remained loyal to a party that disowned him because he wouldn't flip-flop on his principles. Lieberman won't sacrifice what he believes for politics - I guess that's why Democrats are mad at him!
Actually a better argument would be terrorists prefer Republicans because terrorists can't exist in a peaceful, stable environment. George W. Bush with Iraq is proof of that. Remember when the CIA said a couple of years ago the world was less safe because of the Bush policies. So yeah... And besides when did we start taking terrorists at their word? I thought they would be liars? So the logic is democrats are liars but Hamas can be trusted for what they say? Man that doesn't make sense.
Okay. This election is not about Israel, and it's not about Iraq. This election is about the Economy. When gas hits almost 200 dollars a barrel by the time the election rolls around most American voters won't give a fuck about Iran and Israel.
Chris Matthews - "An incumbent party has never won a presidential election in the middle of recession." Exactly. So weep now Republicans. Obama is the next President. Just accept it.
Chris Matthews is as big an imbecile as Olbermann. The deepening of the recession is being caused by high oil prices - Obama has nothing to offer except more taxation and dragging oil execs before idiots in senate committees. McCain will talk about increasing drilling and refining and will be the next president. High crude prices have driven the recession - lower crude prices will drive the recovery.
Actually Obama is going to lower taxes for middle and lower class, so on the whole for most Americans it will be less taxes. And an increase in drilling won't have an effect on prices for what 4 years at the earliest, more likely 7 or 8. We need a better Energy policy in this country and McCain is more of the same old system that is failing. It's time for, dare I say it, a Change.
The simple threat of the US increasing drilling and refining capacity will lower the price of crude. If you want to stop the speculators, start talking about increasing the supply. To ensure lower prices in the future, increase the supply. Socialist economics has never worked - Obama won't make it work either. The type of 'change' promised by Obama is the same thinking that has exacerbated the energy problem. The time has come to put the Arabs out of business.
There isn't a quick fix to this problem. It's been coming since the Carter Administration and both Democrats and Republicans are going to have to make some hard choices. Americans are going to have to make some tough ones. The cheap energy party is coming to an end with Oil. Nuclear, Wind, and Solar are the future. We need to invest in those and not Oil. We need to get a start on the transition now, not put it off with drilling and hoping that will save us.
I agree with your basic premise that there is no quick fix, but being overly independent on foreign oil is the biggest problem right now. I disagree with going all alternative. I believe a two-pronged approach involving increasing oil drilling/refining and advancing alternative sources is the best for a short, mid and long term solution. Increasing US drilling/refining isn't contrary or in opposition to the advancement of alternative sources.
Good luck selling the left on nuclear. There's too much NIMBY out there (Not In MY Back Yard!). The trouble is the left does not understand that power must come from somewhere. They don't want water flow altered, coal burned or the atom split. Turns out that windmills don't look good and kill the odd stupid bird. Natural gas generation increases the cost of natural gas, thus raising home heating costs. Electric cars might be nice but they do have to be plugged in. More demand = more problems.
I'm in the electric utility biz and have heard it all. The latest thing is conservation (again). This ridiculous notion has failed every time, yet it still gets resurrected regularly. Trying to tell the enviro-fascists about the benefits of nuclear power is futile.
Well France is basically investing into Nuclear energy and I agree that the problems with are two-fold: 1) It's bad rep, and 2) disposal of waste products.
With Oil I don't think it's a question of places to drill so much as it's just not worth it to the companies to explore the areas they already can. I could be wrong but from what I read drilling isn't the answer, at least not even a temporary one.
If drilling would drop the price by at least 25 - 30% in two years I'd be for it. Sure the possible environmental problems are a concern for me, but if it's something that's not going to have an effect on the price of crude even during the next president's term then to me we need to spend that time and money investing in energy solutions that are gonna be around for the next 50 to hundred years because the conversion from oil is going to take decades at least. Let's starts ASAP IMHO.
The goy will repent for their treason. If the liberals permit another Holocaust they will go the way of Spain, Persia, and Czarist Russia, like all other pogrom promoting regimes.
Ano... If you are referring to the Holocaust by the Nazi Regime in Germany yeah Czarist Russia had already been overthrown by oh 25 years at that point. It was the USSR in WWII. But thanks for playing.
And just in case you're meaning Czarist Russia was overthrown for it's treatment of Russian Jews as punishment from God or some such non-sense actually the millions of Russian deaths in WWI and Lenin overthrew Czarist Russia. Spain and Persia? Yeah I'm just not even gonna bother.
