  • Nothing like plastic fumes for small children. I don't care if you smelled it or not.

  • Why would you do that inside your house? I know it smells horrible... dumbass

  • @jesusisnotreal1 Actually, there was no smell at all. If there was, I would not have done it in my house.

  • its better to prime and paint the fenders with the right paint i used a heat gun on my jeep fenders it made the color come back but it only lasted a month till they started fading again , i painted them and they lasted a long time now

  • Now do the kids toys!!!

  • this might sound crazy but try peanut butter next time just put some smooth peanut butter on a rag and buff it into the plastic and the oil seeps into the plastic and when that happens water will just bead up and roll right off it lasts for quite a while and its not as time consuming

  • spray paint?

  • Does this work on truck tires..lol

  • @gmfm86 dont even try you will expand the tire and it will explode

  • @gmfm86 use tire shine.......

  • Sweet!

  • works most of time nice

  • imagine if he dropped that

  • heating plastic has another side to it it makes it not brake as easy softens the plastic, changes the structure of the plastic we learned this racing R/C car's in the cold here, heating the plastic caused it not to brake when hit by another car saved a bunch of money we put the parts in boweling hot water

  • kind of worth watching just to see if the lad sets fire to his house.

  • I asked our local BASF rep about this and he said the heat will bring the pigment towards the surface and restore the black but the sun will just take it away again. He also mentioned a heat gun will work better. He recommended a plastic paint or restore products will last longer.

  • @btarrh did he mention how long this method might last because even if its not for very long its alot easier than taking the time to paint them

  • Thanks guys. I did mine in December of 2008, and they still look pretty good (it's now almost October 2009). I'm sure a year or two and they'll be ready to do again. I can't say for sure how long it will last... I guess it just depends on how much sun the flares get, how old they are, and what they're made of. Hope that helps a little. Thanks for all the comments!

  • @jforbes6791 they can last long in my place where its always foggy and cold!

  • cool but how long does that last for?

  • Sweet. Going to have to take off my bumper skirt again and do this.

  • very good job man !!
