So explain how the DAW makes the track sound different? That's basically saying the 1's and 0's are shaped differently in logic that pro tools. No. It's your ROOM, SOUND CARD, AND MONITORING SYSTEM. There is not a difference in the output quality of the DAW, but only once you get to the soundcard.

The only thing I did not like about Cubase 5 was the fact that you had to anticipate how the project was going to sound after you bounced or exported it. Logic is very good for giving what you hear while mixing even after you export it. Pro Tools 9 is even more true than Logic is after the project has been exported. If you own PT9 and Logic 9 take a finished stereo track and import into both and then export them and then listen to see which one is wider, louder, and cleaner. PT9 won it for me.

I laughed so hard!!!! Good vid... But man I will have to call you on that Pro Tools statement. I own Logic Pro 9 and I have owned Cubase 5 as well. I currently own Pro Tools 9. I used to think that Logic Pro was better for mixing until I got Pro Tools 9. The archetecture in PT9 is ridicuous! The ceiling is higher and mixes come out wider than in Logic 9. I used to own Pro Tools 7 a while ago and yes it was not as clean as Logic was back then. But things are way different now.
