  • why dont you film koko 24/7... i love watching koko!!!!!!!! :(

  • @mildredwinter lolz

  • YEAH SHOW KOKO RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

  • Good idea to let Koko look at other people social in the house. That's how human learns to talk. They observe and listen and they learn to talk.

  • she maybe just want a cup of coffee and popcorn with the movie. =) Anyway,She's so cute, and i feel like want to be her best friend. =)

  • aaawww kokos crying

  • G.W. Bush really let himself go...

  • 0:50 Looks like Angry Grandpa

  • I love Koko! xxx

  • smart :)

  • what an amazing creature! i just love those expressive eyes!

  • I was wondering why I was getting so many replies to my comment... first time my comment has been taken to the top!

  • I LOVE you, Koko, if only more humans had your compassion!

  • koko is just a guy in a gorilla suit.

  • @Luxenborg .......... ._.

  • retard is politically incorrect. with this "gorilla" we could rule the world!

  • some of us can learn a thing or 2 from koko!!

  • fuck you bitch give koko a real family ... thats SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO FOR HIM ... or give your pussy

  • Let's have her watch some porn

  • i dont know why the make films such as King kong and paint pictures of Gorrila eating people and violent. when actualy Gorillas are sweet tender and vegetarians. :(

  • @somrazy3 Male gorillas can be very violent however.

  • @somrazy3 they're not so sweet and tender lol. gorillas are very peaceful creatures but they are still very dangerous and should always be in the wild. I'd rather hang out with a gorilla than a chimpanzee any day but they can still be aggressive and sometimes they just don't know their own strength. koko was (or is, idk if shes still alive) the absolute sweetest girl but I'm sure she fucked a few people up in her lifetime with an action that another gorilla would consider playing.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 Ask the kittens she has loved how dangerous she is...

  • @somrazy3,

Tell that to the lady that got her face ripped off.

  • @somrazy3 ... like people... all animals including gorillas have different personalities! You ever seen a silverback mad? believe me... it won't be so cute and tender!

  • @somrazy3 Actually, King Kong is kind of a bad example. One of the major issues addressed in that film was that the gorilla's actions were influenced heavily by love of a human being. The point of the film was to show that apes are more complex than they are commonly imagined to be.

  • @somrazy3 Ya just like Travis the Ape that riped off the face of a women and completely deformed her... There animals and deserve to be in the wild.

  • This gorilla is brilliant. Wow. im shocked.

  • that was so Touching.

  • Just amazing!

  • 12 Chimps are envious of Koko

  • You said this was one of her favourite movies? I'm in a philosophy class on comedy and tragedy and I'm interested in knowing whether you think the Paradox of Tragedy applies to Koko. Does she enjoy witnessing experiences in the movie she would never want to have in real life? My professor would be fascinated.

  • @slovenija1 Well I'm not sure if this reaction Koko is having is due to her connecting it with the loss of her own mother, but if she has already suffered through similar pains to those of the movies' characters, then I don't think it being her "favorite" movie has much to do with watching others experience what one would never want to. Sorry:/

  • She's not particularly well-spoken, but "sad. frown. cry. trouble. mother. love." is more than you'd expect a gorilla to be able to convey. Very interesting.

  • semi-sentient? or fully?

  • Damn chimp trying to steal our girls

  • @lightonhands hahaahha its working too!

  • this has to be the worlds most brainwashed gorrila

  • so called "animals" have emotions just like humans

  • I dare you to show her the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" movie!

  • @SaifMaki O 0 n

  • @SaifMaki

    don't give her any ideas

  • @SaifMaki LOL GO CRAZY

  • okey koko tell me i`m gonna win the lottery or what

  • holy shit

  • This is Cesers mother from rise of the plant of the apes

  • z jednej strony piekne z drugiej przerazajace

  • let him watch king kong

  • I always feel tender emotion when I see Koko. She resembles me a human being so much and she has more humaneness than most of us.

  • @goldeneagle452 they are very close relative to us. She don't just resemble us, she share an enormous part of our DNA

  • @GmrWeb Yup I know that. About 98% if I am right and yet I find it amazing witnessing her behavior! I mean, it is one thing to know on paper that gorillas are very much like us and it is absolutely incredible to see it with your own eyes!

  • @goldeneagle452 it is actually less than 98%, 98% of our DNA are chimps, then come bonobos then gorillas. but still They are one of our closest cousins

  • Koko is the shit 3

  • Koko is so adorable :3 She's so sweet/caring and understanding. I wish I could meet her. For everyone's information Koko is a western lowland gorilla. Also She was born in CAPTIVITY. SO she could never be out on her own in the wild. Project Koko has been going on since 1972 and Koko gets treated better than all of us! Stop with the arguing and talking about how her/gorilla's should all be in the jungle!

  • I cannot believe it.

  • One could argue that this is torture putting this inteligent creature in human homes and doing experiments on them like this even though they're not in cages. if they're as intelligenas you say then they should be free and in the jungle where they;re happy.

  • @gukonni but im sure the gorilla loves humans so much like her in the video

  • @gukonni She was born in captivity dude. Please look her up before you try to say something like that. She wouldn't make it out in the wild. In all honesty, it would be cruel since she has no skill on how to survive in the wild. It's best to keep her in the habitat that she is most comfortable with: with humans.

  • @johnsammyanfal

Your a fucking idiot... You don't even know what the hell your talking about!!!

  • the gorilla is so fake

  • @hyenapeptic Your fake!

  • @hyenapeptic Its not fake its a female! looks different from the silverback males you've probably seen

  • @MightyKingYoung i sent this video to some friends and they also agree the gorilla doesn't look real

  • what if he's just bored?

  • Look I am really shocked , Now I have seen other videos of Koko,But still I want to understand, koko is able of expressing him-self like that 0.0

  • stupid humans aps will rise

  • Either way, they have succeeded in creating a circus exhibit that is as blind to the processes its being exposed as many people are to the political correct mantras they’re conditioned to repeat. Now that’s equality for you!

  • The gorilla experiment is a metaphor for all the damage done by do-goodin’ liberals everywhere. In a gesture informed by misplaced idealism and intellectual snobbery we see nature twisted and turned into a grotesque version of itself and all in the name of edification. Maybe the PhD Frankensteins who thought this up believed were ‘civilizing’ the monkey; or even worse ‘civilizing’ humanity, by teaching people that they were no better than monkeys (?)

  • @johnsammyanfal - umm...monkeys and gorillas are two different types of animals. You are aware of this right?

  • the gorilla probably thinks it isnt supposed to watch that scene, due to humans associating negative words/signs with the scene. The gorilla dosnt know what the heck its watching, but it knows its not supposed to react positively towards that particular place in the movie. JMO from watching. My opinion would change if no human ever said or did anything to influence the sad reaction from the gorilla.

  • @fmaoncrack - Gorillas take the similar social cues from one another in the wild to reflect emotions. What you describe is more akin to a dog. Gorillas are much smarter with more complex social interactions.

  • i'm about to shed tears

  • imagine being kidnapped by aliens, then aliens constantly showing you movies of a loving family you no longer have.

  • @polyrhythmm that's exactly what i was thinking. OMG!! It's heartbreaking to see the emotions in koko's eyes and expressions. She's so smart and I think everyone around her was very lucky to have her in their lives. What a beautiful creature.

  • @polyrhythmm Don't be a speciest, sucka. Koko is well taken care of and part of the family.

  • @polyrhythmm I wanted to up your comment, but then I realised you would be far more useful in the southern belt of america rather than me telling you something far beyond your comprehension

  • @polyrhythmm just what I thought when I saw this video...

  • @polyrhythmm Imagine being a gorilla and not having the full range of emotional and cognitive abilities that a human being does.

  • @polyrhythmm koko did have a loving family. she was very happy with her humans and she always loved being around people and other animals. just because her family wasn't other gorillas doesn't mean it was any less loving. and I highly doubt they just kidnapped koko out of the wild. she was probably born in captivity. are you going to suggest we release all captive animals into the wild (where they would die)? because that would be ridiculous.

  • There is a fundamental difference between an experiment carried out to potentially save human life and one carried out for the self-indulgent purpose of 'proving' that monkeys are as smart as people. The fact that the ape does not appear to be suffering too adversely gives the 'experiment' the same ethical load as circus performing animals. People have a right to challenge this traversty - its absurd to say they should complain about something more serious!

  • @johnsammyanfal - again with the monkeys. Gorillas are not monkeys. Nobody thinks Gorillas are smarter than people. They are studying the intellectual range of the gorilla and using humans as a point of reference. Its called science. Circus performing animals are abused visibly and as a part of standard practice. Your claims that Koko is abused are baseless.

  • Okay for those that are complaining that koko has been ruined by the experiment- if experimenting on a gorilla is so wrong, then why don't you go advocate for all the other animals used to experiment new medicinal drugs used for treatment? Where do you think those drugs come from? I have no idea why this experimenter is doing this, but people study on animals usually because they cannot do the experiment on people. And for those that feel sorry for animals that are caged up in zoos, stop it. Yo

  • that camera flash has to be annoying to her

  • She's not turning because its the sad part. You can clearly see at 0:53 she has that look, "seriously? You're taking fucking pictures during my favorite movie?"

  • i bet you this animal lives better then most humans do....

  • without preservation of animals in zoos poachers woulda caused animals like this to become extinct long ago.your ignorance baffles me.sure shes in captivity but she is also enriched with intellectual activities and most importantly koko doesnt have to worry about being shot and killed by poachers.......there are evil things going on in the world but u wanna complain about koko?how about complaining about the animals inside of laboratories used as test subjects?

  • @theShit310 Exactly. She's enclosed in a safe place where people care for her & try to enrich her life. She gets more attention & human interaction than some kids get from their own parents. She has a nice life.

  • This animal has been ruined by this pointless experiment. It's natural survival instincts have been blunted and replaced with a set of circus tricks. If you put it back in the wild it wouldn't be very long before it turned into four ashtrays and a fur coat. In the monkey cage in a zoo it stands a better chance. It could at least entertain the kids and get three square meals. Maybe that's a better deal than living as a glove puppet with the hand of misguided 'research' up its ass!

  • @johnsammyanfal - Is there a point to your ill informed non-expert rant? Besides displaying your ignorance about primates?

  • Aaawwwwww, "bad trouble" at 1:45. It touches my heart.

  • @RReederHunt then go adopt it -.-

  • a child is smarter then koko a 4 year old child knows 1500 words a child can do simple maths koko is about as smart as a dumb 4 year old

  • @MrGta12367 somebody sounds threatened.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 no i am not threatend but i am just saying a 4 year old child i s smarter a 4 year old child knows 1500 words koko 1000words a child can do very very simple math koko cannot

  • I wonder if Aliens abduct Humans and keep them as their Koko?

  • @fulltimeweirdos

But their films would probably be like spiritual & psychological candy to one of us, and we could always smuggle a suicide capsule in case they are pirating earth satellites and setting us down in front of Kardashian marathons ; )

  • @fulltimeweirdos Yes, and then on their video channel they post comments about how dumb we are and how we don't have emotions or fear

  • Anyone who has ever worked with people with mild brain damage appreciates how fundamental even a small change to cognitive processes can be. The notion that Gorillas can reason and communicate like something approximate to humans by teaching them sign language or watching tv is not a serious scientific proposition. Its a stage act; like the counting horse or singing dog. It appeals to the anthropomorphism in all of us who like disney movies or talk to their pet Iguanas. The ape belongs in a zoo.

  • @johnsammyanfal

Search Youtube for Ayumu the chimp and let see who is smarter, you or the chimp. Now go give Ayumu an apologize. ;)))

  • @johnsammyanfal They belong in the wild- not in a zoo.

  • @johnsammyanfal - this is a load of bullshit. Gorillas have very complex social interactions with each other in the wild. Instead of sign language they have other ways that they communicate with each other (facial expressions and audible noises). It is nothing like a counting horse or a singing dog. Gorillas have used sign language to show that they have memory classification that shares commonality with humans.

  • Animals teach us humans a lesson that we are supposed to know already.

  • CEASAR

  • Oh my god...

    <3...

  • This 'evidence' is laughable? Are we seriously supposed to imagine that the monkey understands the context of a family at a station and the children departing on a steam train, for a new term at boarding school (during the 1930s). What the monkey emotionally contects with is certain basic physical cues from the actors and it the mirrors that behavior. Look angry at your pet dog and at the same time explain the theory of relativity, and figure which it gets. These bums need to get a real job!

  • @johnsammyanfal You can't just glare at a dog and expect it to behave the way a gorilla would if you were to use the same gesture; they are two separate species with different body language.

  • @johnsammyanfal I find it extremely laughable that you're trying to insult another being's intelligence and claim this research is "laughable" when you call a gorilla a "monkey". go back to 1st grade biology and actually look up koko, retard.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 i think he is a homo erectus, meaning dumber then koko...

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 Even watching Magilla Gorilla should have taught them that :p

  • @johnsammyanfal - it is not a MONKEY! Before you drop your delusional opinions as fact you might want to learn the basics.

  • Why is the faceless chimpanzee attack victim another optional video to view on a koko video??????

  • ignorance is bliss

  • I didn't know they learned a form of sign language

  • how old is she now?

  • This is amazing

  • humans are such disgusting people sometimes....the way they abuse animals. i can only hope that more people love them as much as i do!!!!

  • @xoOnatalieOox Do you mean THESE people are abusing an animal?

  • @blackkakari no...obviously not. lol. i know they're not abusing koko. i'm talking about humans in general.

  • @xoOnatalieOox Just checking. I've seen a lot of morons on youtube who call pretty much ANYTHING animal abuse.

  • @blackkakari yeah. I'm not one of them though. This may be abuse to some though...I guess it depends how you look at it?

  • @xoOnatalieOox

    how are they abusing koko?

i think you need to buy a dictionary and look up abuse.

  • @videoman954 uhh... i'm not saying THEY are abusing koko. obviously they aren't, as far as WE can tell. i'm talking about humans in general.

  • what a magnificent animal, the ability to display empathy, something many humans don't have the capacity to do

  • KoKo has his own TV? Are u guys trying to get them to rebell?

  • fucking monkey lol

  • Amazing

  • it is amazing he is aware that the sad part was coming up

  • @FireStormBaller Rise of the Planet of the Apes you say o.O

I bet she'll be jumping to a helicopter just like Buck.

  • i think it was fake. the girl says mother before the gorilla does the "mother" signal. its like the lady is just telling koko what signals to give

  • This is amazing

  • Wow, how fantastic. Finally we might be able to have respect for these beautiful animals.

  • "No HOE Koko want Dick suck and LOVE"

  • and all de sudden gorilla pimp slap " get me banna biatch what you talkin about a sad movie?"

  • Once apes become human like they get all soft

  • Koko is a big drama king "me dont want to look at story me hate story"

  • To the Comment below,

I know your joking but please talk negative because some people who like monkeys fine that offensive. And I love these videos a lot :)

  • she is so adorable awe

  • Comment removed

  • Koko got sum nice titties!

  • dammit im so happy now. koko you kick ass. i dont even know you but i love you and if we ever meet i wouldd love to play with you. all too often humans think themselves any different from animals

  • I feel a little sad, that the guy felt the need to take pictures of her, while she was being sad and expressing her feelings. It must've been very humiliating to her, somehow :/

  • @Izebaal LOL wtf????????????? keep in mind this is a gorilla not a human with all of the self consciousness, embarrassment and fear to show any emotion...all of these things common in human culture are propagated by the media...the gorilla has never been told that he/she should be ashamed of crying or showing emotion and therefore isnt

  • @MarioBrosClassic You are dumb.. Humans are primates too, just like gorilla's all animals have feelings. Yeah that's right humans ARE animals.

  • @MisterDiSeAsE i agree one hundred percent...im not saying gorillas are emotionless..I was specifically refering to humans and how humans unlike gorillas feel ashamed to show emotion...not that gorillas dont have emotion at all

  • @MarioBrosClassic Ahh, sorry jumped the gun on that one.. Glad you are atleast one of the few intelligent people Ive met on the internet.

  • @MisterDiSeAsE nah its alllllll good i saw where you were coming from

  • @MarioBrosClassic I didn't say she should feel ashamed or that she felt ashamed. I said it was humiliating. At least it is to me. How it looks like. I feel sorry for her :c I don't like when someone's sad.

  • was anyone else but me staring at her tits?

  • @xxxCrackerJack501xxx I was! Dere niiiiiccceee

  • @xxxCrackerJack501xxx ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

  • I have been watching this for the last hours and cannot describe you my image of those creatures is changing. Incredibly beautiful!

  • aww i got teary! :)

  • aww.so sweet!

  • aww

  • Fake!

  • @shiftyways1987 If this is fake, then you are gay.

  • @malinko35 LOL Then I am not gay. Your inability to decipher sarcasm is threatening.

  • @shiftyways1987 It's nearly impossible to tell what is and what isn't sarcasm on the internet just by the text of one word.

  • @malinko35 Then maybe you should reserve judgement until your sure.

  • @shiftyways1987 Nah.

  • @malinko35 OK, Good talk.

  • @malinko35 Try writing in the font "SARCASTICA". It makes shit easier...watch " I think it's great apes are being taken out of the jungle, put in a small human room with a tv 1 foot infront of it watching meaningless movies." Pretty easy to understand with the sarcastica font, huh?

  • Wow.

  • poor thing needs to be in the wild gorillas are not pets! neither are monkeys, tigers, lions, alligators, bears you keeping them as pets making them live as humans is torture Boycott circuses the beat those animals to do those tricks!

  • @steffi67

or wolfs, giraffes, cats, cows, pigs, cats, dogs, oh shit, they are?why?because we fucking domesticated them?oho?how long did that take?few thousand years?aha, and from where?oh the wild?I see, so this is how its done.

Hypocrite's make me want to puke more than anything.

  • @Bratcipheo who are you calling a hypocrite fuck you you don't know me and you never hear about a cat mauling a person or rarely hear about a dog attacking the owner after 15 years of living together. watch fatal attractions on animal planet

  • @steffi67 "huh buh you dont know meee" oh come on kiddo! You think you're special?Individual and unique? You're not! I can see what class of person you are from you comments, which reflect your personality and intelligence, everything you say screams of what you are, i know you.

My point is,simply, for the little simple girl you are, all animals can become domesticated, our ancestors did that, we can still do that. And this gorilla was even BORN in a zoo, you're just a naive idealist.

  • @steffi67

how is keeping them as pets torture?
