  • RIP George and Pete

  • Awwww.... His smile is beautiful and contagious. Priceless moment right there. Yeah only the JERKS wouldn't like this. George was the best guitarist of all time, and an under estimated talent. I can go on forever about how amazing he and The Beatles were and still are. His music and The Beatles's music will live on forever. I love and miss you cousin Georgie. =)

  • i would give all my money to see john and george.....

  • people do not like to put in this video, that first touch on the guitar and sing and then put Ok I do not like....MASTER...GEORGE HARRISON...

  • I'm sorry but...this ain't "The Beatles".

John, Paul, and Ringo are nowhere in SIGHT!

Beautiful Song; but it ain't "the Fab Four".

    RIP george

  • Love him!

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for posting...

  • George Harrison R.I.P

    Pete Ham R.I.P

  • Playing with him is the late Peter (Piggy) Ham from Badfinger. R.I.P. both of them, the world is a sadder place without their sunshine.

  • This is George Harrison. It is not the Beatles-people see a video like this and assume its the Beatles-its not. John,Paul and Ringo are not there.

  • @joeysrocks Ringo was there.

  • George was one of the best! One of the most beautiful songs and what a smile,he had, wow...........

  • Here comes the sun do do do doo :)

  • I love that little smile he does when the audience starts cheering :)

  • beautiful beautiful song! Magic has that song, I never saw so beautiful song like this idolvidable beautiful!

  • i was born in '94..and i know what good music is.

  • WOW george...like a jesus

  • Thannks so much for the songs you gave to the world, they always brighten the day.

  • this was in 1971 btw and john and Paul weren't there

  • Always wondered why Pete Ham wasn't singing the harmony vocal. He's got a microphone right in front of him and a great voice.

  • George Harrison was a devoted truth seeker who spread the truth that he found through is music and lyrics. He was a very spiritual guy - I wish George was still around so I could meet him and talk with him, because I am a serious? truth seeker too. If you are a truth seeker, search "Truth Contest" in Google, click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says. I think George would have loved this.

  • RIP George and Pete. Two great musicians.

  • beautiful

  • hm i'm ur Lady of Night ..and i know what u wanna get of me

  • thats not the beatles thats peter ham from badfinger playing the other guitar

  • RIP

    The Skilled Beatle.

  • George Harrison is one of my four favorite Beatles.

  • @baxtersave96 How can he be ONE of your favorites? He's either your favorite, or he isn't.

    Which he is for me.

  • @rakuencallisto Ya see that's called joke.O.K? There are only four Beatles so he must...........Well I think you undestand now.

  • @baxtersave96 ...he,s in my top four too

  • @baxtersave96 Did anyone notice Pete Ham of Bad Finger playing with George....George Harrison only would have the best playing with him ...RIP George and Pete......They left us so much. Thanks

  • @ChuckNorrisKratosLOL He's my favorite too :D

  • I know these jokes are over used... But twenty people are vampires.

  • I am a huge fan of HCTS. I recently read online a list of the instruments used on the original Abbey Road recording.Moog snytIisizer clarinet viola.etc. This however is my favorite version of the song. The acoustic guitar is what makes this song so great.I think the original is over produced.

  • Szupi!!! Nagy kár Érte!!! Isten nyugosztalja!! :)

  • Concert for Bangladesh

  • AWESOME version. I hope George is in Nirvana now (not the band idiots.)

  • His voice is the best ever here

  • I dont have much to say...the best video...4ever....best music...ever...ty Beatles.

  • This is without a doubt George's best song. I was never really a fan of Something. I just felt it was overproduced and just overblown. It sounds like a song that might be written by Paul Anka or Burt Bacharach or someone from an older generation. Perhaps that is why Frank Sinatra and Elvis covered it because it is more of their style. Don't get me wrong I am a bi fan of Harrison's songs I just think songs like If I needed Someone,Taxman and While My Guitar gently weeps are so much better.

  • @pbrick6301

how can u call yourself a beatles fan!!

if u think that the frontman is the only important person in the band then ur just stupid.

  • At about 0:06 you can tell he misses it

  • beautiful!! this is my favorite version of this song : ) xx

  • i can't help but to smile when i hear this song.

  • Today August 1st 2011 is the 40th anniversary of this performace by Geoge. It is the Concert for Bangladesh performed at Madison Square Garden in NYC

  • George and Pete Ham R.I.P. We Thank You Both!

  • 0:03-0:09. GEORGE'S SMILE!

  • This probably from the Concert for Bangladesh. That's Pete Ham of Badfinger playing rhythm guitar. Too COOL!!! This is my favorite composition by George. I miss him.

  • Is that mr ham from bad finger

  • @jdean1003 thats peter ham from bad finger on his left

  • mastery

  • if one song that i can choose as feveret..this one on the top of the list.. inspiring song

  • christian bale should play him

  • @mediblue9 That's actually a pretty good idea.I could see him playing George. Most films that have been made about the Beatles show their beginings and not much more but I would like to see a film that follows them throughout their career. A film about the Beatles [A docudrama] that covers the Sgt. Peppers years and the White Album, The roof top concert. I think their is a lot of potential there.Someone Like Martin Scorsese would be a good choice to direct.

  • when he smiles at the beginning of the video, i actually came close to tears. everything about george harrison makes me so warm and happy.

  • I feel like I connect so much with George Harrison. He's definitely my favorite out of the four. Love all of them, but George wrote and sang my two favorite beatles songs; "here comes the sun" and "something". He just seems so kind and gentle. Love him so much.

  • One of the best songs, if not THE best song ever written. Period.

  • rofl listen to the crowd cheer at the end!

  • This is one of my favorite Beatles songs and it brings tears to my eyes its one of my favorites. Love this fucking incredible performance

  • Wow this must be rare he's with Pete Ham of badfinger, go boys!.

  • ace song boys

  • who's the guy one beside George?

  • @SevenScreamingSnakes pete ham from "Badfinger"

  • I CANT SEEM TO SEE HIM PLAY THIS SONG OR ANY OF HIS SONGS ENOUGH...LOVE THE VIDEO, ESPECIALLY THAT SWEET SMILE THAT COMES ACROSS HIS FACE AT THE BEGINNING..R.I.P. GEORGE AND PETE..MISS YOU

  • :')

  • RIP George Harrison...

I don't get the dislikes on the video... why would anyone dislike a song this beautiful...

  • @AnuDubey1 Because people are losers and don't know what good music is..

  • r.i.p. george and pete

  • AH man that was so awesome.

  • What an awesome song by an awesome musician he was my favourite beatle by miles what a shame he is passed away such talent doesnt come along everyday.

God bless you George and maybe 1 day I will be able to listen to you in person.

  • George Harrison is my favourite beatle. All of his songs are very beautiful!!

  • que bueno George, làstima que te fuiste tan pronto.Necesitabamos todavia tu musica y tus letras.Todo un gran artistazo y un gran poeta.TE QUERRE SIEMPRE (d.e.p.)

  • I love how much peace, kindness and love George inspires. He was an amazing person, and certainly and example to everyone.

  • What 20 moron assholes disliked this!!!

  • @ScuppyTiger George Harrison (the lead singer/ acoustic guitarist here) wrote the song as a memebr of the band, The Beatles, and it is on the Beatles album "Abbey Road" so, yes, The Beatles wrote the original and played on the original.

  • people who say mean things about a kind, generous, peefu mn who hspasse aw are certianly no beter than theperson thecaim isso awful. the people whmatter in this world will always remember George nad take his example regardless of close-minded trolls.

  • Its Pete Ham, very sad story for such a great talent. RIP Pete and George.

  • Great song! Very nice George Harrison duet on just acoustic guitar performance! Thanks for posting.

  • Badfinger lead singer playing next to George

  • I was at the music store today trying out some acoustic guitars.I borrowed a capo from the clerk grabbed a guitar and started playing Here Comes The Sun. A young lady that was there buying a guitar for her boyfiend said to me "Oh that's pretty did you write that. Bless her heart !

  • Always puts a happy smile on my face. Love to all.

  • 20 morons

  • Great song, Great Band, Great Music.

PS: I made the 1000 comment

  • @ScuppyTiger George Harrison. The man singing this song in this video wrote it.He was once a member of the Beatles and it was first recorded and performed by the Beatles.I have never heard the term invent used when it comes to songwriting write would be the more appropriate term.He wrote the song he did not invent it.

  • @ScuppyTiger written by George Harrison, performed on this video by George and his band

  • Don't you just miss them.

  • The way the spotlight is shining on George in this song... it's like the sun itself

  • what a gentle voice

  • George Harrison, why'd you have to go ? :(

  • @thegreenheadband As George said, "All things must pass." Luckily for us, cds, LPs, DVDs and youtube will guarantee that we'll always be able to enjoy his musical genius. Om Ah Hum.

  • @karmadhyana All things must pass indeed. Even gas, lol

  • @gblueslover2 Ha, as long as I'm not in the line of fire, it's all good! (har-har!)

  • 1971 Concert for Bangladesh

  • It's alright! Beautiful sound on this recording! Great job posting abbaMANQUEZ !

  • thi is the little boy from liverpool?

  • for 20 people not comes the sun

  • GET A GRIP!!!! Paul WISHES he was HALF of what this man was!!!!

  • Pete Ham!

  • 0:06 gotta love george harrison. thats how you know he loved what the fans and how much the fans loved him back

  • I would like to hear Paul McCartney play this song.I realize it is not his but when I saw him live back in 91 he played Strawbery Fields so why not this? At the very least I would like to see him play it on the acoustic perhaps his voice at this stage of his career would not do it justice

  • @Gibsonhb1 He plays something

  • @Gibsonhb1 paul mccartney will never play this song because ...well let me put it like like this....jon & paul were ray kroc...and george & ringo were grill cooks.

no offense intended to fans of george & ringo but lets face it. they made a heck of a living because they was associated w/ the beatles.

and just like every grill cook has a great moment, or cab drivr, etc...this was georges great moment. this was his finest hour.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gibsonhb1

Because Paul cant play as good as this Great Man! (Harrison)

  • @bakerbrdz Well actually that is not true. On some of the more difficult guitar parts that the Beatles recorded Paul actually played guitar. Instrumentally Paul was the most advanced of all the Beatles.

  • @Gibsonhb1 just because u play the parts doesn't make u the greatest, its who composed it.. Paul is of course a lgenius, but John is the best Beatle, he's the greatest music artist of all time.. he composed majority of the Beatles song that ruled the charts.. he single-handed inspired and composed the 3 greatest Beatles album, RUBBERSOUL, REVOLVER , SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEART CLUB BAND. Paul is a legend, but John is GOD>>

  • @gajedi14 I am not arguing that. I was only replying to that person that said Paul could not play as good as George Harrison. When in fact he is a better guitar player. I mentioned that Paul had sung Strawberry Fields when I saw him in concert a song John Lennon wrote and I thought it would be nice to hear him cover this song Here comes the Sun a song George Harrison wrote. That's all. It's all good

  • @Gibsonhb1 there is a video of him singing it on youtube :)

  • the littleBeatle lo hace otra vez

  • This is the best version of HCTS .I like it even better than the original Abbey Road recording because this is pure. Don't get me wrong I love the one on Abbey Road but I always felt it was overproduced.

  • what on earth is there not to like?? crazy asses

  • my favorite song!!! love George Harrison!!!

  • I can play this on guitar

  • @herbiemarx01 I can too.As a matter of fact if I had to choose one song [although there were many] that inspired me to pick up the acoustic guitar it would be this one. Now bare with me I'm going to go on a little rant here. Today all anyone cares about is a person's voice. That's all there is on TV singing contests. A good voice is in my opinion only one aspect of good music. We need more people that can actually play instruments and write songs.

  • @MrBuc128 there is much to be said about the difference between beautiful voices and passionate voices that convey emotion... Whenever i find a song i love i try to find two other things: one is a version by the songwriter, the other is an acoustic version. No one will say Willie Nelson has a beautiful voice, but his artistry, instrumentally and vocally is brilliant.

  • @muncecat I agree.I actually like Willy Nelsons voice and I'm not a country music fan.I suppose the reason I like it is because the songs he sings are well written and as you said there is a passion there. I have no use for these singers on the T.V. contests that try `to emulate divas like Whitney Huston and Mariah by hitting and holding high notes.Music to me is not about that.

  • @MrBuc128 and more sufisticated writing in music as well. everysong now talks about the same thing: money party, women/sex, having a good time, drinking. does it sums it for you? plz tell me if im missing something

  • What a rare great vid, together with Pete from Badfinger...

As far as I know George always got Badfinger besides him on tour, if not the whole band than 2 of them, in the early years. I REALLY LOVE THIS VID. Thanks for posting it.

  • I recall first hearing this song right after a particular rough winter and bad go round with pnemonia, It was pretty healing.

  • I love the drummer!

  • @MRevolution44 And yet there is no drummer in this particular performance. I find your statement quite puzzling

  • @MrBuc128

    THX

  • Love, love, LOVE!!!!

  • That's Pete Ham with him form Badfinger? LEgend..tragic story

  • i think that george has the best voice out of them all and my favortie beside ringo starr :P

  • um you can tell hes rushing

  • this is from the concert for Bangledesh

  • 18 people are vampires

  • That is George and the amazing Pete Ham. R.I.P. lads - you are why a lot of us play today.

  • they rock

  • August 1, 1971.

    George Harrison and Pete Ham.

This is not the Beatles -- the Beatles' last concert was in 1966 and the group broke up in 1970. (Although, Ringo did participate in this concert).

  • @NoMoreVanilla

If you count the rooftop concert then the last time they performed together was January 30, 1969.

  • @LoveLoveLove377

    It's only 17, but to A Beatles, so... It's 17 much.. ;)

  • 17 people may not have ear canal -.-'

  • Sencillamente espectacular, tremendo artista, realmente el mundo todavía no ha aprendido a apreciar a este gran compositor, guitarrista y persona. George Harrison, el Beatle sencillo y mas talentoso..
