Why should USA ever go to war with Russia. Yes. The Abrams does suck and has a very poor record against opposing Russian tanks. Same with US planes. Very poor record against Russian planes. In nearly every combat encounter over the past 20 years, Russian technology has totally dominated American technology. Two things come into play here. One tactics were poor and two most of the weapons that destroyed the Merkava IVs in Lebanon in 2006 were the latest weapons Hezbollah could ever get their hands on. Nothing short of an AT14 Kornet could completely destroy an Merkava.

RPG-32 is a reloadable grenade launcher made by a joint Jordanian-Russian venture; RPG-30 is a single-use launcher with one small and one big grenade. When firing the latter weapon, the small grenade confuses the evil tank's active protection system, so the big grenade can send it back to hell.

Actually RPG-30 is a great new system, the problem here is with shockingly unprofessional reporting: editors see some military hardware and assume that it will match any text.

The thing that bounced was a small projectile fired from a sort of underslung launcher tube attached to the main RPG - it's the main innovation in this weapon, designed to trigger active protection measures of a target (a-la Arena) before main RPG round arrives to wreck it completely.
