@Kamakazi242012 MLG is a huge tournament with a lot of different games, and some of the tournaments for those games were going on at the same time. Obviously Halo is a huge game, and would probably have a lot of spectators, so Huk tried to play off all the cheering as people cheering for a Halo match.

@Kamakazi242012 Yeah basically. Apparently earlier in the match they were joking about a mother ship, because the crowd was chanting "show the game," which Huk thought sounded like "Mothership." He told Select that he'd know if he was making a mothership because the crowd would go crazy, and they did; thus, the Halo comment was trying to put the reason for cheering on anything other than the mothership. Basically, Huk was being Huk.

Huk would have lost if he played against Idra, zerg is very strong especially with the recent patch... If the defending Champ loses the finals against a player that was not present at MLG Raleigh, his first place finish would have meant nothing... by doing the mother ship, he gave the fans something to cheer about and also bail out of the tournament to avoid humiliation
