@Simon777v Sometime we have cases on the release list where it date it later in 2012 but they release it a bit earlier for some reason. some series do that because they are not a main series that people anticipate and are just remastered or commercialized series with no storyline. I have the show on HD and this is different from HD version. Plus if it is just HD, then we can tell from the sub version cause I can clearly tell that the sub voices are different from the HD sub voices.

U do realize there are 47 more episodes to be released right, why make a lot of unnecessary changes to an episode that was already good enough for a starter.
Besides in the preview they already showed that the redrew the scene after Kira stabbed Miguel's GINN.
i've watched like all the gundams and i thought there were a couple that were better but this was still a pretty solid series.
only other ones that i would consider above this are the Zeta, the original, ZZ after the initial retarded directing, 08th ms team(maybe), and stardust memories(maybe).
this was the 3rd gundam series i've watched and it still remains my almost favorite one.

SEED may be the second highest rated Gundam TV series behind Zeta but only the original show of a mega franchise deserves to be re-animated which it is getting with MSG: The Origin.
To be honest the only visual differences I can see is that they've made the Mobile Suits look abit sharper. Aside from that, nothing really stands out. Obviously it will probably look 10 times better on blu ray but for the moment I feel abit cold about this. Perhaps I was expecting too much especially as I was expecting it to be 00/Unicorn quality xD On the other hand the ending theme remix was really really good!
@DanDood666 I think you're disappointed because maybe you were expecting everything to be redrawn and reanimated. (I also expected that.:P) The whole series is going to be remastered, that means they will only polish and I guess, heighten the quality of the animation. The characters appear a bit sharper and clearer now, also.
This video is already GREAT quality to me, but yes, everyone please remember that the bluray version for DVD is going to be 1080p. Like bluewolf98 said, this is just an advertisement.

Huh? It looks like they removed the shot of the Astray Red Frame from the opening and "added" Miguel's GINN in it's place, but it didn't appear in the anime either. I wonder why they did that.
@gigadrill quality of animation no, but in terms of quality of the overall show there was alot of problems. For a gundam show a bunch of corners were cut that fans complained about. So they are redoing it.
Things like the Strike gundam flying below and enemy and shooting up at them were reused like 25 times in the show... super blatant about it which isnt something we usually get with gundam. Thats the stuff thats getting redone.

i compare it side by side with the old seed episode 1. some parts the prospective have changed. some explosions from pink smoke to orange -.-; and the ending song changed.
I watched the original release of SEED a lot went it first came out. ITS IS THE EXACT SAME EPISODE! Where is the remade stuff? and it's only 480... This is not a remaster... the only thing i noticed that was different was the opening was changed slightly... Whats going on Bandai? why are you letting me down???

U do realize there are 47 more episodes to be released right, why make a lot of unnecessary changes to an episode that was already good enough for a starter.
Besides in the preview they already showed that the redrew the scene after Kira stabbed Miguel's GINN.

i still love this show to death.
i've watched like all the gundams and i thought there were a couple that were better but this was still a pretty solid series.
only other ones that i would consider above this are the Zeta, the original, ZZ after the initial retarded directing, 08th ms team(maybe), and stardust memories(maybe).
this was the 3rd gundam series i've watched and it still remains my almost favorite one.

@jaemondude01 yeah so CCA, 0080, 0083, V, W, G, X, Turn A, 00, Unicorn, Beginning, AGE etc dont get a mention despite having much more (or less depending) character development than SEED and Flay Allstar combined? Zeta is the best subjectively, and everyones entitled to their favourite.

To be honest the only visual differences I can see is that they've made the Mobile Suits look abit sharper. Aside from that, nothing really stands out. Obviously it will probably look 10 times better on blu ray but for the moment I feel abit cold about this. Perhaps I was expecting too much especially as I was expecting it to be 00/Unicorn quality xD On the other hand the ending theme remix was really really good!

@DanDood666 I think you're disappointed because maybe you were expecting everything to be redrawn and reanimated. (I also expected that.:P) The whole series is going to be remastered, that means they will only polish and I guess, heighten the quality of the animation. The characters appear a bit sharper and clearer now, also.

@Salvysahagun no his orange ginn wass damaged a few weeks before the attack of heliopolis thanks to Serpent Tail mercenary Gai Murakumo. so he had no choice but to use a non customed ginn

@Salvysahagun i have so what if they had a orange ginn the story goes weeks before the heliopolis attack after zaft moved an astroid base to the plants they had supply bases destroy so Creuset team investagated and turned out it was theSerpent Tail mercenary Gai Murakumo. if you read the gundam seed manga you would know who they are after all the G weapons wernt the only moblile suits on heliopolis they were also making astry units that made orb milatary astrys look like toys

Huh? It looks like they removed the shot of the Astray Red Frame from the opening and "added" Miguel's GINN in it's place, but it didn't appear in the anime either. I wonder why they did that.

@gigadrill quality of animation no, but in terms of quality of the overall show there was alot of problems. For a gundam show a bunch of corners were cut that fans complained about. So they are redoing it.
Things like the Strike gundam flying below and enemy and shooting up at them were reused like 25 times in the show... super blatant about it which isnt something we usually get with gundam. Thats the stuff thats getting redone.

i compare it side by side with the old seed episode 1. some parts the prospective have changed. some explosions from pink smoke to orange -.-; and the ending song changed.

The only thing I should have liked this SEED Remastered (but no) was Miguel's "Orange" Ginn was being shoot by a Mobius Zero... -*-
Other than that, despite re-editing some 3D models, I rarely see its differences from the original series.

I watched the original release of SEED a lot went it first came out. ITS IS THE EXACT SAME EPISODE! Where is the remade stuff? and it's only 480... This is not a remaster... the only thing i noticed that was different was the opening was changed slightly... Whats going on Bandai? why are you letting me down???
