This also was one of the funniest outtakes in the Poopie reel. Crow's net falls off and it pisses Trace off. Probably the angriest I've ever heard him, lol.
They probably only got someone who sounded like Trace to play Crow for that really short hexfield scene. You'll notice that during that scene, Crow only mutters a bit. If it wasn't that, it could have been a bluescreen effect. They did't hold a conversation with the people in the hexfield like they normally do.
In the 90s in Minnesota, there was a country station with the call letters KBOB. The ads were exactly what the mads were doing, only it was "Turn your knob to BOB!!" They also would do the Wynonna thing too.
Your forgiveness. I didnt understand the true context of the question untill now.
My bad.
We had a station out here owned by country legend Mel Tillis called KMML. Mel himself said he named it after his speech impediment. He always had a very good sense of humor about it.
I miss this program...

I wondered that when I saw last of the wild horses.

It's totally uncharacteristic to name a radio station Frank!

Well, out here in PA there is an actual radio station names "Frank FM." It plays smooth hits. No Reba.

heh, we have a station named bob.

Does Frank predate Bob?
Ringmistress 4 years ago 2
Bob? Do you mean Pearl's simian sidekick Prof. Bobo? Yeah, Frank pre-dated him. And before Frank was Dr Dale Erdhardt.
But if you mean some other guy actually named Bob, I can't say I recal any such character on MST3K.

I think KBOB was the basis for this joke.
The audio preview says KBOB with a silent K.

opening the hexfield and just saying "Brooks and Dunn" is probably the funniest thing ever.

I agree. A lot.
styrofoamsoda 4 years ago 3
I liked the tone of Dr Fs voice when he repeated "Brooks and DUNN?!?"
And the fact they detatched an actual part of the Deep 13 set to put behind them to further the illusion that it's a broadcast from the lab.
ReverendSyn 3 years ago 5
In all honesty, I don't think it took much effort to detach parts of that set.
