  • @chsparkle I was about to say this. I could understand everything, unlike other Russian versions of songs. :D

  • Loved the video! Can anyone please tell me how does "Beauty and the Beast" called in Russian?

  • Красавица и Чудовище (Krasavitsa i Chudovische).

  • at 1:34 it kinda sounds like they say: Drinka Vodka (I know they are not saying that but i think it kinda sound like that).

  • They say "Dlya Kavo ta", which means "for who" lol

  • Now you say that it's amazing obvious, but I couldn't for the life of me work out what it was just listening D:

  • haha true

  • Comment removed

  • actually, the lady with kids asks gor six eggs and the sailer says that it's expensive (just like in english version of the song).

  • *asks For, not gor

    sorry

  • he says : "dorogoi gavata" that means:it costs too much :)

  • 0:48 I love Belle on that scene...

    she looks adorable... (:

  • I actually think it's alright for translating a song with so many rhymes.

  • They have very good voices however

  • I completley agree with you. Maybe the translators had a hard time making the words rhyme in the appropriate manner, so they ended up with this mess. But the original english version is much better.

  • The Russian - ignorant English speakers just like to listen to any Russian - and this familiar melody provides a good excuse, romanced as we are with the Ruski. :)

  • I don't really understand... it's quiet the same as the english version. I listend carefully to both and I don't hear big differences.

  • I can't see the lyrics!!! =(

  • You need to download a text file with the lyrics. Enter digits into the little form and click the green button under it! :)

  • The russian and hungarian one totally the same...fantastic...:) I'm not sure if it's not the same singerXD reeeally good, one of the best Disneys!

  • Belle of singing voice

  • 2:23 - 2:51 <-- belles tone is hungarian and romanian very similar!!!

  • is the a romanian version ?!

  • BEST!!! Hungarian and Russian the best!!

  • Belle has a beautiful voice here, I think it suits her well.

  • Я хочу эти тексты на русском языке, очень много.

  • It`s really good. One of the best Belle voices.

  • Lyrics for this one??! I will be thankful

  • Аххх...мультик моего детсва...^^

  • This is one of my favourite versions ever, and this is robably my favourite Disney film. Of course, being Russian/Ukrainian, I'm a bit biased. Still, gotta admit that the Russians tend to be spectacula with the Disney.

  • А вот скажи мне, почему многие украинцы притворяются русскими?

  • Probably because if they now live in America, no one teaches proper geography in schools so none of their classmates so much as know Ukraine exists. Aso, if they're frm the former Soviet union, a lot of the culture, folklore, food and stories intertwine and become part of their culture as well. As for me, my dad was actually born in Russia and I have family there, so technically I can call myself part Russian.

  • Почему вы так думаете? :-)

Возможно, они просто считают себя русскими, а значит они и есть русские.

  • Lots of people in the Ukraine ARE Russian, they just happen to live there (even if it is since time immemorial, e.g. the Crimea).

  • Yeah, it was better than the Japanese version, especially the sound.

  • You're half-and-half? SO AM I! Dad from Kiev, mom from Khimki, Russia!!

  • Hahah wow! Actually, I'm a lot of things. My dad was born in Sakhalin, but technically raised in Odessa, which is where my mom is from as well. He was in Sakhalin in the first place because of a government thing which is a story of its own. His mom's dad was from Austria, and her granddad on the other side (I think) from Poland. And then somewhere there I'm part gypsy, too. I was born in the states (first generation) but I speak fluent Russian. It's all a mixed-up but great history. =D

  • Prekrasnii!!!!

  • Prekrasnii!!!!

  • Where would one find a dvd of any kind of disney movie in russian?

  • Perhaps in...Russia?

  • try ebay or search online

  • I love this version of Beauty and the Beast. I think Russian can be a beautiful language and this song really brings it out! Thanks for uploading it!

  • russian singers are among the best in the world, FYI. Listen to a Red Army choir. It'll knock your socks off.

  • It sounds so nice in Russian. I love Belle's russian voice actress, she has such a nice voice.

  • much beter than the danish! :)

    so good!

  • what is belle Saying at :48? It sounds like she is saying something Day right? I sounded a bit like icelandic?

  • she's saying "А вот наш булочник" - "A vot nash boulachnik" - Here's is our baker)

  • ok thanks i was wrong lol Russian is just so different from what i have learned before!

  • o Thank you very Much i am so excited to Move to Russia i Am moving to Samara. where do you live?

  • I live in Ulan-Ude. It's far from Samara. ;-)

  • Hi Yector!! thanks for the videos they're great, cause im learning russian, sorry do you know where can i find the lyrics? not even these one but Disney russian lyrics? thanks, !!

  • Hi. You know, I'm not sure that such a place exists. But you can ask Russian natives for writing the lyrics. :-)

  • Can you write the lyrics in Cryllic and Latin letter for me? I'm not Russian, but i've always been interested in seeing how Russian has been written, and in Latin lyrics so I can see which Cryllic letter corresponds to which Latin letter. Spasibo!

  • I can, but it will take some time. :-)

  • I did that. :)

  • and this lyrics are not disney's?

  • What do you mean? :)

  • Lyrics? :D

  • I think the translation in russian is rather incorrect. They sing in the end: "Мы очень любим все её", which means "We all like her very much". They don't like her, they think she is odd. They also sing that she is a girl from a dream, that she has a bright smile. I think the idea was different in original movie: people don't adore her, they just think she is rather separate from the rest.

  • Beliefmiss, actually, in the story, the village thinks she is very beautiful but they don't understand her because she is strange. But I see what you mean with the last line :p

    Thanks for the upload :)

  • OMG at 4:10 do they say suka?

  • no he said 'suda' which means like 'over here' or he might have mean 'here' or 'come over here'

  • I want to speak Russian, too. I am sort of working on it. Europerox, we know some of the most important words. ;-)

  • I've always wanted to learn to speak russian.. its a beutiful language.

  • me 2

  • I luf this song it's beautiful in russian

  • Who's the voice of Belle? I love her voice, it's so clear.

  • I told already. :)

Saulye Iskakova. I don't know who is she.

  • Sorry, I didn't read all the comments. But thank you. =D

  • She kind of sounds like the girl from the band Лондон.

  • I like this cartoon, but i don't like belle's voice (in russian version), imho in english it's sounds much better =)

  • Disagree! :P

  • agree! :P her sounds is clear like water ^ ^ oh and Gaston sounds so.. manly *drool* :D

  • Я люблю эта фильм!!

  • dobre ootra!!! he he go russia! the best country in the world!

  • this is beautiful in russian

  • I don't know why, but I think the lady at 1:31 has a cool voice lol

  • lol. I want to learn Russian more than any language in the world :D I love French, but I already speak it well :) This song is amazing in Russian lol.

  • this song is almost exactly like american version in some of the disney songs are completely different in russian

  • There is no "American" language!

  • I already commented, but I gotta say this... (Reader discretion advised) At 1:32, when the woman walked down a step, her boobs bounced. And at 3:56-4:00 those three blondie's boobs are all over the place! And they call this a kids movie? It's full of subtle adult rated jokes and suggestions! Not that i'm complaining...

  • You're complaining, complaining! :P

Disney made this film not only for children. :)

  • Not complaining.

  • I want to meet a Belle who speaks Russian :( (or Norwegian, or Arabic).

  • Russian is a most beautifully sung language. Russian songs are partly why I study it.

  • who is singing?

  • Saulye Iskakova is singing this song and she is Belle's voice. : )

  • I was surprised by how beautiful and soft her voice was! it was really goodt, thought it being russian it would sound more rough... well I was wrong :)

  • Why rough? :(((

    *sigh*

    stereotypes, stereotypes

  • Ahhh makes me feel very happy :D

    What a belle voice..Good version

  • I was really surprised by her voice, but as I listen, I realize it's perfect for the role. =D

  • why surprised?

  • I'm not sure. But I do love Russian. =P

  • The Russian lyrics are exactly the same and easy to pick up, That's good. The lip synching is off, that's understandable. Overall, the Russian version has to be my favourite.

  • my favorite too!

  • "The Russian lyrics are exactly the same and easy to pick up"

Why do you think so??? :?

  • Well, if you know Russian. I mean that the lyrics aren't diffrent from the English lyrics and it's easy to understand what she's singing.

  • I know Russian, do you? Show me where's not the difference. Which lines did you mean? 8-)

The first line goes in Russian:

    Little town,

    A pair of quite streets...

If honestly, the first lines have not much difference, but difference is much more further.

  • I know Russian too. And I didn't mean EXACTLY the same. I meant generally the same. In a lot of Disney movies, when they translate it to diffrent languages, they have to change the words and lyrics a LOT to fit the gaps. I'm just saying that this song a lot better translated than many others.

  • Спасибо огромное! Я всё не могла дождаться, когда же...

    Спасибо! :)

  • bolshoi spasiba!
