Then, right now, aware that he's actually in a mental asylum, trying to kill himself... and failing, because something in the wars made him immortal. That's what this song reminds me of. I'm a big fan of Dragonforce and I have been since before sonic firestorm was released. While I still love the band to death I always thought that there first two albums were better than imhuman rampage and ultra beatdown, but this song and strike of the ninja prove me wrong. This song has one of the best choruses of almost any song I have ever heard its just utterly fantastic!

My thought on the song is at some point its from the perspective of the rapist, while at the other its the victim who was raped when they were younger (either a child or just a younger adult, so it is in the present and flashes back to the crime) and is wrestling with coming of age and sexual urges, causing them to hate themselves and possibly commit suicide or at least attempt to. Either way its nice they stretched their creative muscles a bit. Can't wait to hear how the new singer performs.

It's odd, you know, that this song is one of the only Dragonforce songs that actually about something specific. A lot of their songs are just 'war' 'steel' 'freedom' 'universe', but this one actually seems to be about someone trying to cope with abuse and wishing to escape from their haunted feelings.
