Many people around the world see China for the aggression and cultural repression she exacts against the minority people of the region. We see what you do to the Uyghurs, Tibetans and others. And we are sharing this truth with as many people as possible.
We boycott the instruments and sound of China in our Silk Road project Rain In Eden, in protest against the acts of the Chinese state against the culture and peace of minority peoples in China.
@tkoind Maybe it is us Westerners who should stand against our own cultural imperialism? Last time I read the news, it was the US trying to export its system of government (democracy) to Lybia - not China. If Tibetans don't like China, they should fight on their own, not be dependent on Western support. Anything else is simply an endorsement of Tibetan occupation by the West instead of China. As a tourist, I support China - without it there would be no railway to Lhasa, no airport, no safety, etc
Apparantly, the Buddhist architecture of Tibet, China,Japan etc, was influenced by historic architecture, as of Buddhism originating India. The architecture is known as Pagoda, study it. The Indians had much of rich culture as well, and Buddhism went to Tibet through Buddhist Sadhus from India. Tibet was locked off from almost all angles. Chinese traditional architecture is apparantly influenced by Indian Buddhist achitecture.
please name your reason. From the architecture, art and history we all can see that the tibetan culture has so much to do with china. Even the Buddhism was first introduced to tibet from WenCheng Princess of China and today there are still lots of temples in memory of her. What about indians?
Really? So an Ancient Chinese Princess brought Buddhism to Tibet?? Interesting.... I thought all this time Tibetans got it from Indians... cuz if I dont remember it wrong, it says so in my History books: Buddhism arrived Tibet earlier than China. Giving the benefit of doubt, can you show any proofs? Documents or records or some sort? Thx!

One word, "resources," there has already been vast deforestation and huge mining operations, water and energy are also major objectives. Isn't it always the same, we just spin it differently. Someone has some thing that someone else wants, but we never simply say it out loud, that would be well, too honest.
Tibet has been part of China on and off since Kublai Khan, but was autonomous when the PRC invaded Tibet in 1950. So most Tibetans do not regard Tibet as part of China since it was not during their lifetimes (for the older generation).
Citizens of countries that are invaded usually do not see themselves as part of the invading country until many generations later.
We should face the facts that no ONE deserve to call them self advanced and to disturb the peace in Tibetan's land if anyone would take a look at how the so called "Economy needs" have damaged the earth. Tibet is the ONLY LAST clean land on this Earth. LEAVE THEM ALONE.
@redrose20x Jiuzhaogu is in Szechuan province, right in the central China, not in Tibet. And it has been pretty well protected and maintained when I was there years ago. It's always a disappointment to see any part of the world getting civilized but that's fact of life.
Same to American Indian, native Austrians and so on... including you.
@goldtalin WHY DONT U JUST GO WATCH SOME CHINESE ARTISTS THEN? Because its Tibetan Singer, We will be going against people who Tibet is a part of China.
ArthurMolen: It's a nice, beautiful video of Jiuzhaigou Valley in China's Sichuan province.....until some U.S. funded Tibet independence nut job like you spoil it.
A billion people with a zillion proclamation: Tibet is part of China..Tibet is part of China.. does not make it so. Some people like to find the facts and not accept what their country did or tell you. Maps are only imaginary lines drawn to reflect geo-political boundaries and change over time. Its not as simple as saying 'check the map' specially when that map was drawn under the barrel of a gun. Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu were all once Tibetan territory as old maps will show you.
