The overall message I was trying to put is this. Before they talk about immigration and how they have to adapt. They have to think about how the English language was installed. I'm not saying they are to blame but they are really making it worse when they talk about how we all have to learn English and adapt to American culture when their ancestors didn't do the same. We didn't force the Europeans to anything. They have to be careful with what they say because it makes them sound ignorant.
@Trickishismael360 That might be the Indian perspective, but it's not true of the European one. You have to realize that Europeans don't speak one language either. You had various settlers that couldn't speak a word of English when they arrived in America. The difference between those immigrants and today's Mexican immigrants is they don't care to learn English. Most of these illegals want to fly their Mexican flags and do everything Mexican including language, but live in the USA.
The thing is though that many of those Mexicans are natives going back to their original home of what is modern day Utah. Apart from that they actually do try to learn English since many who work here try to learn it especially if they are looking for work. But I also see the European perspective since we also see how many of them were discriminated as well. But even so. What bothers me the most is this. Why do we have to learn English? It's not the native tongue. But they do it as if it was.

Even if Rick Perry's perspective makes sense, Rick Santorum is also correct that Rick Perry would have no qualms about exploiting undocumented workers, a huge part of his population, in order to #1, get latino votes; #2, make it look like employment in Texas is better than it actually is and #3, get the businesses that benefit from cheap labor to give him money. @GiddyWafffles It's immoral because a lot of them do it illegally. There was a reason why NYC and other spots were used to transit immigrants in the country. Now we have people lying and stealing their slot while screwing up the economy. Every person needs to be recorded and there status verified. This is true for visitors like those on vacation too. It's faulty logic to assume anything has changed. By the way, "their" is racist.

@shadowedge69 As if citizens are better. The ones who cause trouble and are at all a burden should definitely not be allowed, not arguing that. I'm saying that if they are a contributing member of society, and do nothing to help why get rid of them? The point is mostly everyone in America was an immigrant at one point, and just like the first Europeans that came to America, immigrants today can become good and useful. Also, why is "their" racist?! That's like me saying the number "69" is racist.

@GiddyWafffles You know when most Europeans came to this country, there was plenty of room and money to be had by all. We had slaves to do the brunt of the hard labor work for free of course and that's why America became a powerhouse. Now America is on the verge of bankruptcy thanks to corrupt bankers that run this country and all these illegals aren't helping matters right now. Your definition of "their" is implying to white people and that's just not fair to say only white people want this.

@shadowedge69 The Europeans aren't the focal point, the Natives are. The point is that they are in a similar situation as "their" ancestors, yet they treat it completely different. Also, 8/10 immigrants are actually helping the situation, those are the ones I want to keep. They are willing to do jobs most people aren't, and more.

@GiddyWafffles I disagree as breaking the law to come here illegally proves a lack of integrity. If immigrants can't wait to become citizens, I don't want them at all. The country accepted Mexicans the same time it took Europeans so it's really stupid to make the point that illegals have just cause to come here without paperwork. Anyone who doesn't agree with citizenship for illegals is called all types of bad words for it. Why is having integrity for your land's borders wrong?

You and me both are born into this country the way our ancestors allowed things to happen good or bad. It's ignorant to blame me or others that are innocent just because of racial features. If your people weren't a bunch of savages, maybe you'd still have your land and your religion. I bet you don't like that now do you.

While it's true, it's not helpful to point that out to people that already know this and it's not their fault. You make it seem like you've been wronged personally somehow and that's not true because you never had these lands and ways yourself. I agree with your overall message though.

The overall message I was trying to put is this. Before they talk about immigration and how they have to adapt. They have to think about how the English language was installed. I'm not saying they are to blame but they are really making it worse when they talk about how we all have to learn English and adapt to American culture when their ancestors didn't do the same. We didn't force the Europeans to anything. They have to be careful with what they say because it makes them sound ignorant.

@Trickishismael360 That might be the Indian perspective, but it's not true of the European one. You have to realize that Europeans don't speak one language either. You had various settlers that couldn't speak a word of English when they arrived in America. The difference between those immigrants and today's Mexican immigrants is they don't care to learn English. Most of these illegals want to fly their Mexican flags and do everything Mexican including language, but live in the USA.

The thing is though that many of those Mexicans are natives going back to their original home of what is modern day Utah. Apart from that they actually do try to learn English since many who work here try to learn it especially if they are looking for work. But I also see the European perspective since we also see how many of them were discriminated as well. But even so. What bothers me the most is this. Why do we have to learn English? It's not the native tongue. But they do it as if it was.

@Trickishismael360 Because it was selected to be the official language, that's why. Imagine how stupid it would be to have 10-15 different languages with all the communication problems. Utah is not home of Mexicans nor it is anyone other than Americans now. That's like saying Rome should populate half the world because they have done so before. You also need to stop blaming today's people for the mistakes of the past.

@shadowedge69 I'm not taking it back. The whole point was to sound like an asshole because they're assholes.To me it's irrelevant. I care more about the issues of the country as a whole and not about race or ethnicity. I would like for them to respond and I want to know if they can answer it. Let's see how they respond to a narrow minded stance from another person's point of view. Apart from that I am also part white. But they never thought about that question.
