haha lol you would not even have time to protect your self or make it to a bomb selter if your like 1.6 miles away from ground zero (where the Nuke went off) 100% of people will die by heat blast and initial radiation, 5 miles away from ground zero 50% will die from 3rd degree burns and heat blast, 13 miles away from ground zero maybe 25% or higher will die from radiation fall out.

some scenes seem to be taken from BBC documentary "war games" in 1965. Then there are scenes from American nuclear experiments such as the incredible attempt to use a nucler device as cannon-bullet!

i would have to say if a nuke were to go of the worst part would be the superheated air and blast cuased my the explosion becuase anything in the area is instantly incinarated although most of the death is couased by the nukes fallout

I believe this is a clip from a production called 'the War Game' by the BBC and produced around 1965.

It was done in a psuedo documentary style and centrered around an off target soviet missle striking Rochester in Kent.

Threads (a gripping and bleak film) centres on 2 families in Sheffield before, during and after a full scale nuclear attack in 1984.

Both films are well worth looking out for. I recently found Threads in my local HMV for £20! Bit pricey to be honest.

I've culled stuff from both movies, the et bit is certainly from Threads, the little blighter wasn't thought of in 1965.

What i like about The Wargame was that they didn't show any mushroom clouds, just start b/w reality!
