What Prof. Behzad suggest in his talk is reasonable and acceptable. No social movement can be analyzed while ignoring the "classes" in the society. In fact, clearly we can see the presence of the working class and lower classes of the society, the upper classes (trying to use this opportunity) to regain the control over the economy of the country, now monopolized by the a few gangs inside Iran.

There is a miss translation. At the end the subtities say "hard working middle class of Iran", when Dabashi says "Zahmatkeshan", which means, roughly, "hardworkers" and usually applies to peasents or workers.

This is a very interesting episode, as I think what Dr. Yaghmaian says about the economy being a battle between the IRGC, and Rafsanjani's mafia, shows a clear separation between Rafsanjani's network and the Green Movement.

During the elections, this separation was not very clear (Mousavi's ties to Rafsanjani) , and was obviously exploited heavily by Ahmadinejad

@freddiebutch why is it that Mr debashi all of suden is asking about the working class and green movment's relation to the working class any body that has looked at vidios knows that these are mostly the educated and north tehran population that is guiding the green movment, the other guy says is " not class orianted" and he again is disappointed in his answear. he tries to link the green movment to the left it is obvious in most of his vidios actualy i am enjoying it because is thetrical
