Aikido.-.Mitsugi.Saotome.-.Oyo.Henka.Waza Kata Dori

No misunderstanding, we're talking about Oyo Henka here, not Kihon Wasa. Saotome Sensei teaches Kihon Wasa about the same way as everybody. Oyo Henka needs to be very skillful on basic technics. that's all ;-)

this looks like Saotome shihan is contradicting the way that other federations teach this kata dori waza. In particular, one federation teaches to enter (irimi), place the opposite hand (simultaneously) in the crook of Uke's attacking arm, to bend it as you step inward and outward. This breaks uke's balance. Saotome Shihan's movements are quite different. It would concern me to respond to someone's attack with would be significantly stronger (than I) and more agressive with such a soft touch.
