  • I'm included in that too tinkerbells and I wouldn't decline if I had an opportunity to go to Korea lol

  • why are you guys learning for kpop stars? it's not like you'll know them. ... well, at least they gave you an inspiration to learn a new language.

  • @prodigychild1988 well I think it's the same way people learn japanese for anime. promoting one's product, given that it's specific to that country, brings interest to that country, promoting tourism and the willingness to learn that culture and language

  • the guy's voice on this recording sounds like shinobi mystic on you-tube.

  • The guy sounds like a native speaker, he is really good. Makes me wonder if he learned or if he is korean, plus he has a nice voice in korean

    thanks.

  • I need to learn it to communicate with my aunt's, uncles and cousins o.o

  • R U 4 REALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

  • This website has helped me very much with my Korean. I've been discouraged at every turn by people for trying to learn this language because: a) "It's very difficult for European speakers to learn." b) "you should learn spanish instead, it's more useful in America." c) "you'll rarely have a chance to actually use it." I don't pay any mind to comments like these and neither should anybody else who may hear them. Korean culture is AMAZING, and has so much to offer. Learn the language! :)

  • @DonnieDog13 yeah I hear the same comments. some people think I'm weird because I like learning languages overall.

  • I like the concept...simple video to begin learning..for those of us who are horrible language learners..the Korean speakers are too fast for me to hear with my American ears...of course this could be from an old goat trying to learn something new...

Contiue for those who are better / faster learners..Good luck...troytex in Texas Aug. 21, 2010

  • i want to learn korean because i want to play Kms

    (Korean maplestory)

  • im learning korean b/c i already know japanese, and korean & japanese are pretty similar, so i wanted to give it a try (:

  • @sehruhh If you knew japanese you would know that korean and japanese are completly diffrent languages...

  • @RokuRG uhmmm i know that thanks :p

i guess i meant to say that they DO have similarities, not that they're completely similar...

sorry if the phrasing of my words gave you a hard time :p

and yeah i'm half japanese, i'm a fluent speaker, and practically all my friends are korean sooo yeah i'd have some knowledge... :p

  • i'm only learning this because of

    DBSK.

even tho they are disband. :(

    i still love them.. hwaiting!

  • @vanggurl96 thy r disabled? ohh no wonder thy barely hve any songs now... but i still luv them .... well if u really wna learn.. i think u should take tutor or clases .... well thats wht my uncle did i think tolearn chinese.... i think u cud learn a lang wit in 6-12 mnths :) i wna learn korean too for bgi bang,ss501, etc

  • there are reasons why lots of people want to learn korean,,, because of their colorful and interesting culture,, and because of their KDRAMAS and KPOP groups,,, they are are shown worldwide especially in asia,,, thats why when people get to watch them, they become interested in the culture,, the language and its pronounciatinis CUTE as well as the handwriting,,,

  • @mayakristinaful i learned hangul for like 1 week but the problem is that, i cannot understand what im reading and thier language is freakin confusing.

  • @ZerOneSven yeah their writing is easy to learn,,,, but their language is really hard,,,, confusing,,,

  • @mayakristinaful hmm an english speaking person trying to learn korean may be having a really steel hard time in learning the language...and in the other side of the ring. A Korean speaking person trying to learn the english language may also be having a rock hard time in absorbing the language. Fair fight isnt it?? So dont be discouraged in learning korean bcoz they too are struggling in learning english.

  • @ZerOneSven yeah i know,,, i wnted to learn korean so badly,,, but i just do it when i have free time cause im still studying you know,,, haha,,, someday i will be fluent in korean haha,,, i am also planning to go visit korea someday so i need to learn it,, haha

  • @mayakristinaful ..its really hard...couting money is a pain ..im studying it now..and i having a hard time,,,,but i still love it though

  • i wanna learn korean coz i wanna have a korean girlfriend

  • There must be a language focus more than just scaffolded vocabulary, because novice learner's of Korean still wouldn't know how to use these vocabulary words in any context after watching this video. Include the scaffolded vocabulary in a typical sentence, scaffold the entire sentence on the screen, and cut out all the jibber jabber unless it has to do with the language focus.

  • biunn.....nn chikurouon chaduncha

  • is it just me or does the guy sound sexcc when he speaks korean ????

  • @doodoofish2 yeah, you know what, i kept thinking of jang geun suk when he speaks hangul :P

I will wait for your answer!

  • 홍대 = "Hong"ik "Univ"

    "Hongik University"

  • It is a lot more difficult to understand the pronounciations because there are no actual words/romanizaiton.

I want to be able to understand SNSD and SuperJunior (Kyu and Siwon, haha ^^)

  • I like this language!

I'm learning it because of one special person for me- Kim Bum!!

  • 부동산 직원 - (Budongsan Jikueon) Real Estate Agent

부동산 - (Budongsan) Real Estate Agency

건너편 - (Keonneopyeon) the opposite side

    차도 - (Chado) car road

    인도 - (Indo) people road

    자동차 - (Jachongcha) car

    자전거 - (Jajeonkeo) bicycle

    동네 - (Dongne) neighborhood

    오토바이 - (Otobai) motorcycle

배달시키다 - ( Baedalsikida) delivery service

  • thats interesting because in Japanese Real Estate Agent is 'fudousan', which is most likely a Chinese origin word, and in Japanese motorbike is also 'otobai', which is quite obviously taken from English

  • there are so many original europe languages are exist in english language

and important thing is most world people

don`t know who made their own contury`s language, maybe all people of South korean know who made Korean language

  • I think it was like the English and the Chinese and Japanese or something

  • my contury was a colonial nation by Japan in 1945s

k peoples forced to learn Japanese langauge at school,It was an big influence

anyway K langauge have own words that not including foreign language. but the words are just unknown to normal peoples

  • i don't undertsand anything..hahaha trying when they speak korean

  • hi everyone i am really excited to learn korean

  • to beeceebee1- u r just jealous about someone abilities

to cheereverytime - dont gloating, too much bragging irritate people.pls be humble

  • korean is easier for me to learn than chinese. i'm half chinese. lol! and i have a hard time speaking chinese. XD ahahaha..

  • @jiyongyong

    i'm completly chinese

i can hear and speak it but can't read or write it

i think korean is pretty easy at the moment but then again i just started and i'v only learned the easy phrases :) i can't read or write tho... i hav problems with reading and writing

  • This is one interesting language. It's almost like a mix of Japanese and Chinese.

  • it's so not... chinese doesn't have that many syllables in one word and japanese is totally dif...

  • all of your comments are causing severe nose bleeding to everyone... -_-

  • hi everyone!

firstly, i just wanna say, if all of you think that i'm here just to get the intention it's up to you..i'm just tellin' yea bout myself..

  • cheereverytime,

has too many differences, has too many different is wrong.

thank you for believing me, thank you for believe me is not correct.

Actually, I do believe that you know how to speak 9 languages but in my opinion you are not fluent in all, especially english. I read some of your comments, and they contain too many grammatical errors.

I'm from Malaysia too, and I speak English, Malay, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and German language (albeit not fluent)

  • ok..for me,,tiada manusia yang tidak pernah melakukan kesalahan..kite blajar dari kesalahan..

  • yes, that's right. let alone me..but seriously, you need to work on your English big time! The reason I commented on you in the first place was because you were bragging about being fluent in so many languages; in bad English that is. It was just so not right! below is one of your previous comment, judge it for yourself and please correct it =>

the fluent that i mentioned means i know the grammar, pronounciations, words, & i can speak it very well without any grammar mistakes..

  • 공부...아이고...

  • 콧소리 짱! -_-

  • know nothing about that.who can tell me why

  • Comment removed

  • her english is so cute oh my gosh... hahahaha.. but this video is more suited for intermediate korean learners

  • you really should put subbing on the bottom

  • Koreans study English like mad, but no one can speak it..Probably due to the deep racist resentments. Just my opinion.

  • it's cause they study grammar and reading, but they don't study speaking skills.

  • Yes, you have to study English phonology to speak a good English. Grammar and reading are useless for that porpose.

  • konnichiwa

    ogenki desuka?^^

  • konnichiwa, ima. boku wa nihongo o hanashimasu. eto watashi wa nihongo o ai shimasu! hai, sore wa moto omshiroi desu. daijobu. eto anata wa wakarimasu?

i start learning other languages from 12 years old, now i'm 15 years old & i learn 12 languages, but i just fluent in 9 languages only :(

    huhu..

    anyway, keep it up!!

    this is great!

  • wow o.o

  • huh? omg u jusr fluent in 9 languages only wtf :d haha :P

  • lol i know. i would be happy by being fluent in 5 or 4 languages.

  • i only know 2 and a half .. learning korean know basic chinese, fluent spanish, fluent english

  • Bragger ..... < . < Just kidding, you should be proud that you know that many languages. I fluent in only two languages and proficient in another.

  • cheereverytime, I'm 99% sure you are NOT fluent in 9 languages. Fluent means being able to say more than greetings and hold more than a basic conversation. Post a video of you speaking all 9 languages and I'll believe you.

  • i'm here to learn the new language.

    not to be fight.

we've a brain and it's THE MOST POWERFUL thing in the universe..

    just thing.

don't underestimate someone by thier cover....

  • my friend, I never want to fight, my comment was not supposed to be rude. I just don't think you speak 9 languages. I'm almost sure you don't. That's it ;)

  • Comment removed

  • That's great that you're a translator at your school. I wish I could speak better Korean or Japanese. But still, 9 languages (fluently) is extremely rare, that's why it's hard for me to believe, especially if you're young. If you do that's great. What are the 9 languages you say you speak by the way?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed
