then you must not have done it right because if you send it back to playstation that is exactly what they will do to it. That is a sure fire way try it again is all i can say and if you havent try to take a look at the youtube video on how to fix it because that is just like xbox when you get the red ring of death it is and overheating issue so if you can pin point the problem post it on here

Dude if you have 99 cents go to your local computer store and get what us computer techs call thermal paste and then there is a video posted on youtube that walks you through all the steps to fix it its not as bad as you think it is. I have a 60gb ps3 and it is starting to give me some issues but if you know how to fix it then you have no problems. Oh and keeping your system clean might actually help the system a great deal just thought i would offer my advice

tried that last night...didnt work...had a 500 degree F heat gun, and thermal compound from radioshack...put it back together and still got ylod..any more suggestions?

Maybe you should get all of the dust out of there and try again. Looks too dirty, that's probably why its not working.
