The very end... when they all come together and sing "Let the sun shine" is why I LOVE broadway. It's just so amazing :) I get teary eyed every time I see watch it. It's just so moving. :') They're amazing. I dream to be one of them one day.

Everything was cool up until that awful updated performance of HAIR. So cheesy. Too much recycling going on with that show and the performers look and sound like they're from the 21st century. No matter how long they grow their hair and refuse to wash their feet, they still look like like artificial hippies.

@ritter89 not true! I'm not sure if you saw the play or not (I did!) but they looked and acted like hippies. It's not about the whole growing their hair out and "refuse to wash their feet" but about the psychological issues that they went threw. The music is actually better then it was in the original Broadway version (1968).

I listen to so much 60's music, and when I hear Walking in Space and Aquarius, I can't help but think that I'm listening to music from the 60's, not 21st century.

Broadway is so amazing! But I've got to say the technical side of things was really lacking at the Tony's. Elton's mic wasn't on in the VERY BEGINNING! Then you have numerous Mic issues during West Side, then in Rock of Ages everything was a mess, no lights on the dancers, camera angles all over the place and then people getting in hit with props. Plus there is this one angle that keeps having heads of audience in the stage shot. All the performers and musicians were incredible though!

the musical actually does quite a bit... it's subtle at times, but the musical makes fun of stuff like Fosse's style of choreography and Elpheba flying in Wicked, for example

I love how they showed Anne Hathaway jaming along with Liza. Then at the end when they showed the end. It was like she wanted to be up there with them. She should go to broadway (if she hasn't all ready). Anne is a good singer too.
