hola buakaw me gutaria irme una vacasione a pramut gmy y hacer uno guante cn tigo el n1 aqui en españa es una broma tengo pensado una vacasione a tailandia en verano 2 mese
Most gyms in which champions arise from have this type of setting. On reality tv shows, they have all these fancy gyms but I've seen where many professional thai fighters traing and it's far from fancy. You can smell the sweat and the environment motivates you.
actually if you want to train here you can have an apartment with some accommodations it's the training part where every aspect of it is old school MT training with fighters having their mind set to nothing but fighting.there's nothing to distract you here.a spartan-like isolated camp but it has everything you need when it comes to upgrading your skills.don't think that buakaw trains in poor conditions, with all that K1 money he has no problems with financig everything he needs to be a champ
I think so, too1 I actually can afford ANYTHING! He doesn´t earn only from K1, but also from promoting MuayThai around the world, exhibition-fighting, but above all, from advertisment. He said in an interview: " I will not change practicing just because I´m the champ now. I will try to focus on getting rid of my weakness!" That a true, modest CHAMPION!!!
This is a training camp where true champions are forged!
To train under such a conditions make the difference between a good fighter and a true champion. Muay Thai training itself is regarded as one of the toughest in Martial Arts. Have you ever been in Thailand. When you get out of the airport the HEAT and the MOISTURE are overhelming!!! Train under such condition presuming you survive the first days!!!!!
I don't see how it's ghetto. It has all the required equipment. Is it ghetto because it doesn't have air-conditioning or marble floors? Infact it's bigger than most gyms I've seen in urban areas. It would be ghetto if the punching bags were garbage bags filled with dirty laundry or something.
I tried to find Buakaw's gym when I was training in Thailand at Sor. Vorapin gym2. Someone said it was in Bangkok but it's in Issan(NE Thailand) somewhere.
That gym looks like an awesome place to train, next to the river and those kind of conditions make you harder and tougher mentally and physically. Their gym is like a soldiers camp.

Nice to see that the current world champion comes from a hobo gym. It's like ghetto thaiboxing for christ sakes!
Still very beautiful though, looks very old.

ghetto? hobo gym? wtf are you talking about? will anything less than an american McDojo not please your highness?
i'd love to train in a place like this. how many outdoor muay thai gyms have you seen in "developed" nations?
