@85maxamillion your glock sights and your berretta sights are different. try ONLY shooting the glock and youll realize its not like normal factory iron sights. glock is slightly middle sight above.

Thanks for these videos. When I was researching the Glock 19, your videos (among other data) helped me decide on my purchase. When every report and chart says that pistol "x" is great, I still want to see someone firing it and making honest off-the-cuff remarks about it. Seeing you fire the G-30 as effectively as the G-19 tells me alot about what my next gun will be.
I'm looking for opinions on a small easy to manage summertime carry pistol. Particularly the newer 32/380 round. I can't remember the proper name for the round but it's 380 brass necked down for a 32 bullet. They say the recoil is very light and it delivers alot more energy than a standard 32 ACP. Hollowpoints on this round would probably do decent damage especially since people tend to wear light clothes in the warm months. Anyone had experience with it? Any opinions?
Hickock45 is the man. He's never boring he's experienced, knowledgeable and a helluva shot with just about every small arm known to man. I've learned alot from watching his videos. If there is a particular gun you're interested in you can usually find a video he's done featuring it and can help you make a decision on whether or not you'd want one. And on top of all that he's pretty damned entertaining. Bill you should start a shooting school or at least gun safety training course. Extra cash.
@CastleCaveat9 I had my Glock 30SF for a week, I normally shoot 10mm and since the 30 is the same as the 29 (10mm), you can get a .45-10mm conversion barrel, you'll need 10mm mags. There's some other calibers you can shoot from a .45 pistol, but they're EXTREMELY boutique and don't really offer anything over 10mm.
10mm is my favorite round, .45 is #2, I traded my G29 for a G30 so I'd have a .45 that I can carry (my 1911s aren't "CCW friendly."

Slowly, CCW is becoming an option here in Kalifornia, and I was considering another Glock for carry when/if my county joins Free America. I have a G17 and G20, but I'd like either the G23 or the G30 for carry. Question for you: given a 10-round limitation (California law), would you still prefer the G23 over the G30? My thinking is, if you've only got 10, make 'em .45s. Best!
Hey, Hickock... next time you use a bullet hole for the "o" in your name (as when you signed the paper target), use a LSWC round. I load 190 gr .45 ACP LSWC rounds a friend casts for me and they make the prettiest little cookie cutter holes! Good shootin' pard...
@xXxHuRr1cAn3xXx About .354 caliber. Glocks come in all sorts of calibers. 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .45GAP, .357Sig, etc. Caliber is the diameter of the bullet in inches. Strangely enough, when measured in millimeters, those are also capped caliber. 9mm is .354 caliber, but nobody calls the 9mm anything but 9mm.

I have a question. Because Glock 30 has a barrel 3.8" it has a mazzle velocity close to 800 fps. This is actually slower than other .45s including glock 21. Is the velocity that Glock 30 has enough for the bullet to expand?

@TonyInTopeka , I have an FAQ video on that. I love the G30, but the thinner Glocks (9mm/40) are my favorites for all-around use. The G30 is a bit of a "chunk" to carry all day.
Ya, you should not shoot lead rounds through a Glock stock barrel, Hickok uses a Lone Wolf barrel in his Glocks to shoot lead. I can't answer the other question, as I have not used that ammo before.

Hi Mr. hickok45. Could you please answer 2 questions. 1)Does it harm a Glock to shoot lead bullets thru it? & 2)Is it bad to use Wolf ammunition? Wolf came out with a "new" type of .45acp. It still has a steel case but it is no longer coated with a lacquer substance which I would assume is cleaner that the locquer coated bullet. Mercy, I only wish I could shoot like Hickok. He handles the "Big Bores" wonderfully. Between the 10mm and the .45 ACP, he probably handles them the best that I have seen as far as accuracy and follow-up shots. Well done.
Thanks for the G30 review! I wasn't sure about purchasing the G30SF I bought today due to the short barrel and my concern for a lack of accuracy however your video solved my concerns and I'm now a very happy G30SF owner!
It just struck me. If a revolver could morph into a pistol, it would be a Glock. No external safety. The safety is your trigger finger. Reliability. Accuracy.

@TonyInTopeka , I have an FAQ video on that. I love the G30, but the thinner Glocks (9mm/40) are my favorites for all-around use. The G30 is a bit of a "chunk" to carry all day.

Ya, you should not shoot lead rounds through a Glock stock barrel, Hickok uses a Lone Wolf barrel in his Glocks to shoot lead. I can't answer the other question, as I have not used that ammo before.

Hi Mr. hickok45. Could you please answer 2 questions. 1)Does it harm a Glock to shoot lead bullets thru it? & 2)Is it bad to use Wolf ammunition? Wolf came out with a "new" type of .45acp. It still has a steel case but it is no longer coated with a lacquer substance which I would assume is cleaner that the locquer coated bullet. I'd greatly appreciate answers to these 2 question is you would know. THX. Sincerely, JAMES.

Mercy, I only wish I could shoot like Hickok. He handles the "Big Bores" wonderfully. Between the 10mm and the .45 ACP, he probably handles them the best that I have seen as far as accuracy and follow-up shots. Well done.

Thanks for the G30 review! I wasn't sure about purchasing the G30SF I bought today due to the short barrel and my concern for a lack of accuracy however your video solved my concerns and I'm now a very happy G30SF owner!

It just struck me. If a revolver could morph into a pistol, it would be a Glock. No external safety. The safety is your trigger finger. Reliability. Accuracy.
