Um your supposed to wear a shoe with at least a inch and a half heel...its a safety issue...to whomever is wearing sneakers..at least if you're riding in a saddle with your feet in a stirrup...if you're riding bareback...then who cares...(sorry had to add this...was a trainer a couple of years ago..miss horses a LOT)
