  • if there were like 10 cars in a row because of black friday parking, this garage would take forever to load.

  • There is going to be multiple entrances/exits and average retrieval time is about 90 ~120 sec. Also, developer can utilize automated parking and conventional parking together.

  • Looks like an extremely expensive bottle-neck combined with excessive liability.

  • It actually is very competative to conventional parking. However, you can gain more profit with saved space by utilizing additional shops, offices, units and less excavation/construction.

  • Also, liability would be very low because there is no human access in the parking garage.

  • You Guys Installed A Mini-Mall?! (0:23-0:30)

  • And what do u do it ur brakes are very bad, or ur cars to long the computer won't just stop will it and what happens if u need u car in a power outage

  • Each parking space has stoppers so it would be okay even though the vehicle has bad brakes. As per the excessive sized vehicle, the system will notify the operator and user that the vehicle is not suitable (too long, too heavy & too wide). Usually the system is connected to the building backup generator in case of power outage. FYI- the system does not require excessive power demand

  • What if you forget something in your car? Do you have to take it out of the MPS garage, retriebe your stuff, and then put it back in again? I think the waiting lines maybe a problem.....

  • Don't drivers get 'backed up' waiting for this thing to accept their vehicles? I mean, I can picture a line of drivers waiting on the machine to return, esp. during morning hours when everyone's arriving for work at the same time.

  • If you had this 50 yeas ago :D and put one in San Juan . They woulnt have destroyed the Train station and La puntilla wich was 1/3rd of the old city that was destroyed to make a big parking -____-

Are there any of this sistems Woking in the caribean?

  • this is great for big cities im guessing b/c cities have space issues and this seem to be smaller than normal parking lots

  • Just imagine the long lines on this thing, especially if the robot car carrier works slower than in this video. Also, what happens if the power goes out or if an evacuation is needed? New technology, yes, but infinitely more vulnerable than contemporary technology.

  • 3 minutes for a car ??? what if there are 5 cars waiting ?

  • wooow

  • Is it still a concept ??

It seems easy to set up and doesn't require lots of financial investment.

but I think the main downside is it takes too much time, and not suitable when there is a long queue during rush hours...

  • There will be security issue involved. like what if someone hide in a car and manage to get inside.? You can put cameras but not everywhere.

It also consumes quite much time for one customer.

This system requires extremely high accuracy which make it expensive and would be very hard for the parties or the companies owning the car park to get their money back. I myself wouldnt be very happy if I had to pay sth like 20€ just to get my car parked.

  • but is there a emergency power backup for that or the cars will all be stuck for a billions years when a monkey trips the circuit breaker?

  • But there is a big flaw.. If one car is modified, suspension dropped/undercar neon, you can't park it.

  • seems like a lot of electricity is used to make the whole system work!

    Good idea though!

  • It does not take a lot of electricity. It actually saves energy because the garage does not need full lighting system and ventilation due to no human access inside of garage.

  • @seankim716 But Still, All Of That Crap Just To Park A Car In The Parking Lot

  • @seankim716 Yeah, i'd say it uses less power than a conventional garage.

  • Living-fingerprints better-than cards that may get-lost; serve-too as means to track-people, more-critical than-ever these-days.

Being-able to park at-home, at-the-office... please leverage new-build integrate this or like Japanese [Thunderbirds] system.

  • I could see someone making a youtube video of just staying in the car when its being moved into storage haha

  • @GoodEvenings Haha I was just thinking of that... That would suck if you had no one to get you out lololol

  • What if the place was really busy. Also what is there was a power outage

  • I like this !!

  • Great System. Do you have this working anywhere in the world at the moment.

  • Yes, we have installed our system in Asia, Europe and Central America.

  • @seankim716 `Where in europe can I find this car park?

  • This is freaking awesome! How many years before it becomes practical in the US?

  • We are invovlved with couple project and hopefully soon... We are openning one site in Mexico city so it is going to be matter of time.

  • if terrorists hide bomb in car all cars will asplode

  • By using automated parking system you can minimize the check point area. You can setup the security check point at the lift entrance area whereas conventional parking there are people driving entire parking area, which makes the security that much difficult but automated parking does not allow human access into the garage and vehicle drop off and pick up area is designated to the one level where lift entrance and exit is located. Compare to conventional parking it can reduce the odd.

  • @DaddyDoctor123 umm you can do that in a regular parking garage too, you know. and whats better: a bunch of cars exploding in this thing or a bunch of cars exploding in a regular parking garage w/ ppl still in there walking around?

  • is there more than one of thos wheels that you park on because what if there was some huge sale wouldent you be waiting in a long line of cars for them to park theres get out get a ticket and then go to the next person in line i think it is unlogical to have a parking system like this because insted of shoping you'd be waiting in another line before you even start shopping

  • Average retrieval time is 90 sec. whereas conventional average retrieval time is 3 ~ 4 min.

Also it can install multiple entrance and exit area so multiple cars can be parked at the same time.

  • 1. That mechanism on 1:12, is it hydraulic? Can it damage wheels? How you control preasure on wheels?

    2. MPS Duo Robot on 1:39 - what is his power suply? How it recognize different car wheels space (front and rear axle space)?

  • 1. Our oldest garage has been operating over 10 years and the centering device has never damaged any wheels.

    2. recognize different wheels spec is our know how and that make this system state of the art robot.

  • does your company offer franchise opportunities?

  • what if someone forgets their baby

  • The system will have motion sensor, which will avoid human access into garage and at the entrance.

  • Would ice and snow cause problems ?

  • No they do not cause problem because we make drainage system.

  • I bet it would be so expensive for the user. In my place, 1 conventional parking lot cost $2.00 for the first 1 hour and additional $0.50 to $1.00 for the subsequent hour. For this systme, maybe it cost 3 times!

  • Not really because let's say in X land conventional parking accommodate 100 spaces but if we place automated parking system into same land then it would create 200 or more car spaces because automated parking system does not need ramp, space between cars, passenger elevators...etc. Therefore, property owner can charge same or less parking lt cost.

  • I see extremly high bottle neck problem here. Waiting time to enter and exit???

  • I suppose they have several of those turntable things, but yeah I agree

  • It takes very short time. Our average parking and retrieval time takes 90 seconds, which means shortest one take less than 60 sec. as per conventional parking from entrance to parking take ave. 4~5 mins.

  • and also i do not think people would trust their car to a tall forklift/robot and what if you need to get to your car for a sec You have to wait for it to come all the way back

  • yeah i agree... Time is key when they are thinking about automation... The time it takes to park at a mall at rush hour times including retrieval would cause more headaches for everyone than the traditional parking lot.

  • Average retrieval time is 90 sec. and if you compare with convetional it is more than 3 times faster than conventional. FYI - conventional average retrieval time is 4~5 min.

  • What if you lost your card?

  • Either there will be management or system will be link to management office so they can investigate on CCTV and verify if you are the right person and time. You pay the fee ad they can retrieve your vehicle on site or from their office. They can all monitor the site through their office.

  • what if some people with old cars ora cars that leak oil go into that parking system with their car , since it looks like in the parking system the middle thing is open a car above you can leak oil , motor oil , brake oil on your droptop bentley or any other car other then that the car parking system is good

  • The middle part is not opened. It is completely built in either in concrete or steel structure. In case any leakage from the vehicle below level vehicle will not get effected.

  • what if terrorist hide the bomb in the car... all cars will fucked

  • It applies to any garage in the world. In fact, the fully automated MPS garage is safer because no human life will be sacrafised since only cars are allowed and parked in the building; whereas regular garages have a risk to jeopardize human lives.

  • I think it applies to all places. At least MPSystem parking garage does not allow human access inside the parking lot whereas conventional parking it will be a big problem if it does happen.

  • What if somebody hides in a car, then it parks it. They then get out and since nobody else is around start stealing from or damaging other cars.

  • We never had that problem because theier is motion sensor at the platform and inside of garage.

  • questo serve a Brindisi!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks cool but tell me how fast would the machine be. Imagine a shopping mall where every minute 20 cars go in. Now, everyone search for it own parking, this way, it would be a 1000 meter line... until you get to "park" your vehicle

  • We can have multiple entrance/exit and average retrieval time is 90 sec.

  • on busy days , won't it take a really long time to get your car ?

  • Our average retrieval time is 90 sec. Which means nearest vehicle will take less than 60 sec.

  • i've left stuff in my car, for example i left my wallet in my car before. i don't want to wait for the machine to get my car so i can get my wallet and does it charge me again to park my car again?

  • There will be a staff managing this site and they can by pass your ticket and bring up your vehicle. FYI - at the beginning of the parking procedure there is message telling you "Please make sure to take personal itmes"

  • 1 Question what happens if you put the wrong number??

Does it give you someone elses car??

  • yeeh XD awesome.. aah dude, i saw that guy with a lambo typing in 8883... i'd like that car... "8883" xD

  • you'd still need the keys for the car.

  • Our system can interact with automatic paying machine (same as conventional parking), RF card or even a valet. You will never have to put any number. It can be setup as per developers request.

  • Impressive! But I have some questions,

As Xadlite said about kids getting trapped in the car, how would they be rescued? Also, what happens in the event of a power failure?

What if somebody stayed in the car while it was being moved around, then drove off of the concrete shelf into the pit below? What sort of safety systems are in place?

What happens if somebody loses their ticket?

What if a car is left for an extended period of time?

Could someone steal a ticket and get someone elses car?

  • 1. & 2. Question

    - As I have mentioned below we do have montion sensor so if there is any movement (for example: leaving kids in the car - I think at this point these people need to think about what kind of parents they are and maybe call someone should call child protecion) Nevertheless, there is no way one can get into the garage (we could install motion sensor inside of garage so we will know if there is any movement in the garage.

  • 3. It is the same as conventional parking lot. Vallet, casher or building manager can retrieve the car manually after varifying ID.

    4. It will be parked until ticket is inserct or else we will set the program as client's (parking lot ower)instruction.

    5. Again, same as conventional parking they could insert the ticket (they will have to pay it, first) then need a key to get access to the car.

  • Ah thanks for answering. I forgot about needing a key to open the car for a second there!

  • yes its nice and somthin like that... but what if i forgot my wallet in the car i dont wait fucking 3 days for it :D too slow and too compliqeeee

  • I am not sure which other company system you have used before but we never had a problem with our system. I am guessing you have used pallet system but our system is very different from pallet system. It is robot system, which we have less moving part and a lot shorter retrieval time. I don't thing we have not used the RIGHT ONE yet. I can guarantee on that!

  • I hope there's a surveillance system too -- these news stories of bad parents leaving their kids in the car while they go have fun sickens me.

Just the thought of some kids stuck in a car wedged in between concrete walls all alone with no passers by to spot them and call the police..

Cameras with movement sensors and all would be good to put in to the system i think.

Other than that, very nice stuff - always thought automated parking would be great - this design is very impressive.

  • You don't have to worry about that we do have motion sensor and surveillanc camera to monitor the parking lot.

  • WOW. They handled the first problem i thought of rather nicely. Centering. What I'd also like to figure out, is a system that can automatically sandwich vehicles based on the fact that they all have varied heights. I'd also like to see a method that uses multi-party biometric ID and call-ahead systems. That way you can authorize others to retrieve your car, and you can also call ahead for your vehicle to completely eliminate wait times.

  • good wo.. if can use in malaysia lagi best.. hope some ppl can import this model.. useful in KL, Subang and so on.. lolx

  • I hope so, too

  • ill will be scared if my car drop to the ground ill be scared

  • There is no way we will drop the vehicle because as you can see our video clip our machine lift 4 wheels meaning driver will place their gear to parking position plus we install stopper on every parking spaces.

Yes, you are right there is other company, which they have dropped cars couple times and they are hurting our industry by giving bad example.

  • And if your car has 6 meter or more?

  • Our system is custom design and we could adjust the length as client request.

  • when parking they should add the approximation length of parking, therefore allowing a better retrieval time for others who are parking for a mere couple of hours as apposed to people parking for days or weeks

  • Good luck trying to find your car in a BLACKOUT...(BUT) I think that they have an extra turbine or somthing

  • During BLACKOUT, client can run there backup generator. Trust me our system does not take a lot of electricity.

  • I think its a very good idea but how will it work with loads of people waiting for one elevator delivering cars one at a time.

  • You don't have to worry about queuing. It could make multiple entrance/exit ways plus its average retrieval time is 60 sec., which means closest parking space to the entrance/exit door could take 30 sec. or less and farthest parking space to the entrance/exit door could take 120 sec. or less.

  • Thats good, cuz it takes a savage parker in NYC an average of 10 minutes to retrieve a car. This system cuts down on wait times, and damages to the cars. I love it.

  • were getting one of these in edinburgh soon woohoo!!!

  • I heard about this company they are installing their system in Eupore, Middle east, North South America. As of Property Developer I recommend this company I heard great things about them. MPSystem offer lower cost, high quality and it is not Palet (I saw on the News Palet drops cars) I think we need to install this system more and more. It gets harder and hader for me to look for parking.

  • Yes this system is really awsome...

Like you said we need this system more and more

  • I wonder who you work for? LOL

  • Absolutely. This system is cool enough on it's own, you don't need to get sss716 in here to sell it.

  • nice cartoon

  • awsome

  • Wow, this is pretty amazing. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of this in the near future. Makes sense considering there's less and less space to build - particularly structures like parking garages. Might even be faster than parking yourself!
