@inf0rmale Just pointing this out to you. I drive a Volvo V50 2.0D 2006 and the acceleration is more less like that which is quite surprising, considering the fact you drive a 170 hp car and I drive a sluggish 2.0 Turbo Diesel with only 136 hp.
Did you shift using the geartronic? Manual shifting should yield a faster time than 9.2 sec. Also, I've seen tests that show that the S40 is faster from 5-60 (a rolling start) than 0-60 when compared to similar cars. My own experience seems to confirm this.
Those are kilometres... which is quite obvious for two reasons: (1) it's a stock 170bhp car, (2) people usually time 0-60 mph OR 0-100 km/h. Nobody points out 0-100 mph of a car.
install a turbo lol... it is a heavier car because volvo is about safety though btw so that plays in a factor i have one and its got no clutch manual e-gear i dont use it too often though
@repta272 I don't think it's recommended that you install a turbo on the 2.4i s40.. . it has something to do with the engine not being able to run optimally so anyone looking to buy an S40 is better off getting the T5.
T5 - i think it's better choice for this car;)

oops, sorry. I though you were commenting my other video with XC90.
Yep. This car is not as fast as one would imagine.

1. Your tank is full
2. The car is heavy
3. It's an Automatic.

that 0-60 seemed that was made uphill because the S40 2.4 5AT does 0-60 in 8.5 not 9.2, the engine sounds awesome

The saab is more powerful but its slower 0-100 9.7 seconds
markus11chung 3 years ago
i rather get a saab 9-3 2.0t thats more powerful and the same price. thats seems sluggish

Love the sound of that engine!
