The insurgents hardly hit anything ever, and the airstrikes come in too late or hit the wrong building and end up killing civilians. Either way its stalemate for every side...

Well atlest our troops can shoot and make thier shots count. That may of worked on the Soviet of Afghanstan but I can assure you it won't work here well. You can clearly see the troops fire their round wihich in any case is not hitting any thing. The man clearly wastes viable ammo in the support gun he carrys. Either way they are a formidable force, primarly because of thier use of gorilla tactics.

This is all show, there is no footage of what really happened there. Insurgents don't actually get to fire at US soldiers in the open as little as US soldiers get to actually blow up enemy combatants with their delayed air strikes. Propaganda goes both ways.

I think its more about looking cool in front of the camera then anything to them. Cant say ive ever seen one of our troops shoot from the hip.
