But on a side note stephen colbert is a comedian. His work isnt meant to be taken seriously. Lmao this reminds me of an episode of the colbert report when he was talking about a police officer in california that was attacked by a grizzly bear trying to break into his home. The cop zapped it with a high voltage tazer he used from work and it was so strong it made the bear break dance. "He turned that grizzly into a sizzly!" XD.

I care about bear conservation and support Defenders, and I also think Stephen Colbert is hilarious -- and I don't find this a bit contradictory. I'm guessing that the Defenders campaign is in a 'Colbert' style of humour in that they're not actually attacking him, but using his humour to raise real awareness of bears in a similar manner.

Oh and yes, Colbert's relentless 'attack' on bears is funny, and it is, just a joke.
