With regard to Cobra7FAC's comment on my previous post, perhaps a little history is in order: "The Star-Spangled Banner" was made the National Anthem by Congressional resolution on March 3, 1931. I'm very certain that resolution did not adopt the poem ("Defence of Fort McHenry"), but the song -- which includes the music. I submit that it dishonors the National Anthem to sing it other than written (and adopted).
