how would you deal with people who want you to not fast. In the bible it says to fast but also to obey your parents I am in a tough situation. i desire to fast more but I feel that certain things hold me back.

@rentalcity21 obviously demons don't want you to fast and tell your family its actually better to fast for health reasons. it cleanses your body of toxins and your colognes. tell them once in a while is ok and actually makes you healthier.

@rentalcity21 I had the same problem. My advice to you is, as soon as your parents go to work or go out to see some friends or whatever, then you can be alone at home and fast. If when they return they ask you why you didn't eat, don't lie, either don't answer or say you didn't want to eat, which is the truth. Also, each time your at a friend's house or at school remember to fast cause it's easier there. Fast everytime you remember. Also remember God comes 1rst, then the parents! Blessings :)

no i meant He can be calmed by the people whom he loves and that Christians since we are the only people who prays to God we should intercede for them.

@genoark You don't have to change what you said. The Bible says in Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

I am a father, I love everyone, but I really love my two kids. When a group of kids asks me for something I am more apt to give to my own kids. The same things goes for God, its not that He is a respecter of persons, He is a loving Father.

start fasting with one meal, then move onto two meals per day then fast for full day .

Like a marathon, you can't run 40 miles with no training.

You start with one mile then keep up with two etc..

when I was doing laborious work, God provided, I drank water ate powebars, ate healthy, but then just cut back on the food, but not the water, cut out bad food and eat granola, your stomach and brain tell you when you need food but, you can ignore them for only so long. then eat don't give in to small urges
