That was defensive behavior from the mantis. She didn't see that bug as food cuz it's was too big so she just wanted it to leave . Mantis don't realy enjoy to share their hunting territory. Just a little tip , when you want to feed your pet mantis, just give her crickets or anything that the mantis can hold in it's forearms. Otherwise you are simply disturbing her and making her nervous.
