They actually improved a lot since the first game. First game was more like a Dynasty Warriors style. This is more like Ninja Gaiden or Bayonetta style.

I remember this game from the Wii. I love my share of ridiculous Japanese/anime'esque games, but this never really looked that interesting to me then, and this doesn't now. Prettier, though, but not all that interesting.

Also, no disrespect to 360 fans, but I think this being exclusive to it is a bad idea. Multi-platform with PS3 would be a better idea, since PS3 fans would seem to have the majority of interest in a game like this.

@morbidavatar I disagree. While the 360 is not a successful console in Japan, its fanbase is extremely dedicated and this type of game is right up their alley. It's kind of why shoot-'em-ups have basically made their home on the machine, they're niche games already, but they fit the console's audience to a tee.

It's not that I have an issue with multi-platform games, but a PS3 port is unlikely as the dev boxes and R&D would cost a pretty penny; not ideal for a budget game dev.

I think what morbidavatar is trying to say is that players who are attracted to THESE types of game(half naked girls using katanas and slashing enemies,or just being half naked and look pretty.) usually play PS3... Which is mostly true. People who play XBOX360 are usualy more attracted to FPS, I think. Oh, by the way pleases don't think I have got anything against PS3 users. I am also one of those who like THESE type of game.

@ReignOfMoE No, I perfectly understood what they said, and I disagree with you as well. The 360 has a huge number of visual novels and other "sexy" games, like Dream C Club or Gal Gun. Sure, some of them come to the PS3 eventually, but almost all of the console games in this genre get their start on the 360. Onechanbara also fits into the same genre as games like Earth Defense Force, which are quite the hit over there; while they started on the PS2, they're now at home on the 360.

@TaiyzGenesis Um...you sure don't know how many girl games there are in PS3...Beside, THESE types of game are mostly aimed for Japanese and are consumed mostly by Japanese, who are more used to PS3. There are SOME games released in XBox360 exclusive, but Japanese gamers don't seem to like Xbox360 very much.

@ReignOfMoE You've completely ignored what I've been saying twice now. The 360 isn't popular with the mainstream, sure, but not everybody who owns a PS3 is going to like this type of game. The 360's audience over there is very dedicated and "otaku-centric," as much as I hate to use that word; this game is totally up their alley.

I mean the Wii was really popular there, right? No More Heroes is in the same genre and has a good deal of gore and fanservice as well, but it bombed there.

@TaiyzGenesis I am not very brilliant about game developing, but the fact is that THESE type of games are mostly aimed at Japanese 'Otakus' and they usualy own PS3 not Xbox360. It might cost the developers more money making the game for both PS3 and Xbox360 than by earning money from selling the game.

@ReignOfMoE FWIW: The original Onichanbra was a 360 exclusive to lure japanese otaku into buying the console. Looks like this is the much needed sequel to the bland and confusing original.

@HellsRaven4444 does everything need to be compared with god of war? infact the first game (for this) has been made even before bayonetta. this involves both chaining and stringing combo's, which god of war only has stringing. plus, this isnt made by david jaffee so thats a one up too.

@hoysoy: Actually Oneechanbara has been in all consoles. It was originally on the D3's Simple Series for PS2. There's been a version for Wii and 360 as well...

That being said.. yeah there hasn't been any titles released for PS3 xD
