I dont play the bass (Im a drummer) but watch bass players and have a solos tab in my favorites. Mostly Victor Wooten and Jaco Pastorius. Two of the best bass players that have ever lived. The reason theese guys were considered "the best" isn't just how they played but the fact they could play any style or rythem and make it seem natural.

All Flea plays is slap. He IS good at it, but thats it. Its not like his technique is even that good. Other players would use a lot less effort

@85gower Cool story, Victor Wooten is well known for technical playing you're correct. and Flea puts alot more effort into his bass and it comes out in the song, much more emotion rather than pure technique. Yeah Wooten is boss and can play two pieces simultaneously, but I'd rather meet Flea because he is funner, cooler, more emotional, also flea plays trumpet like a mad man, and moves around while playing not just sits in correct technique position

@Anemos186 Go slower to a click track and eventually ull build up the speed comfortably and youll learn how to position yourself so you dont burn up like your lifting weights haha or do intervals at a fast bpm and try to go longer and longer each time ex: 10 sec, 15, sec, 20 sec, .
