@MicroHelper Yeah except that's not true at all. The Young Veins would have never even happened if The Beatles and similar acts from the 60's hadn't existed. Those acts are in fact vastly superior, since they engineered their own sound whereas The Young Veins simply replicate it, no matter how well they manage to do that.
This has the same hypnotic quality as "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie, actually...you can just play it on repeat and feel kind of tragic every time~
Even when Jon *talks* I can't stop staring at his mouth; I don't know what it is, his voice is just calming in every way :L Until the split, I didn't really like him, but I guess that's just cause I hadn't really noticed him. I thank this song for changing my mind :D
This is kind of torture. I guess I'm just being a little bias because I adore Panic! and I really have no liking for "beatles" type music. But I am very happy that Ryan and Jon are pursuing their artistic dreams. Still wish there was some way the complete Panic! could reunite though... Aw well God bless'em.
just wow i knew that brendon and ryan had some diffrences and wanted to try new things...i didnt think ryan wanted to do something as radical as wanting to revive beatle rock
Wasn't a huge Panic fan but they won we over with Pretty.Odd. I loved the direction they took and I love the direction Ryan and John are now on. Its great to see growth, most bands these days can't do it in a way to maintain the same level of commercial success and integrity. This is a beautiful song. The Young Veins, though like many bands these days take elements from the 60's, do it majestically. They are truly a talent band. Very under rated.
I"m sorta sad that they left panic, but in a way i think it was for the better. i still love panic now that Brendon and Spencer are bringing back the "fever" sound, but i really like this too.
I don't think either sounds could of happened without the split.
@alexwlee Daaaaaaaaaaamn. You sure told us (no sarcasm). That may or may not be true, though. Nearly Witches sounded very unique. The Ballad of Mona Lisa sounds like what you describe, but just wait until all the songs are up. I doubt it'll be "generic".
wow i hated the shit out of panic at the disco but this is amazing i have their whole album plus all there xtra cover songs n their all amazing death to panic at the disco long live the young veins!

I much, much, MUCH prefer Jon's singing to Ryan's singing. Ryan's singing actually kind of annoys me because he sounds too much like the Beatles. I love Jon's singing voice, however, and I want to hear him sing more!

The only thing that is turning me off with this band (PatD was shit) is the teeny-bopper sound of the lead vocalist, but Jon's voice is very pleasing.
I'm kinda glad they split-up, so that we can all expirence this glorious music. But I'm sad, because they can't make any more song together (P!atd, I mean)....I'm glad we get to hear John, HE'S FUCKING AMAZING!!!! I NEVER EVEN KNEW!!! "I'm pouring out my heart for paper" beautiful....-dreamy sigh-'
This song is very sixties. Remind anyone else of And I Love Her? Jon's voice is pretty sweet too. I would suggest he be the lead singer (because really, Ryan can't hit a note) but I couldn't think of him as a very front-and-center guy. I think he's happy as he is.
@WalkingTravisty It's absolutely wrong try to sing Die tonight or Change and you'll see iif it'snt High....in Die tonight he makes very high notes at chorus....... @sentechi Well, Jon is singing this song, and I think his voice is perfectly nice. Besides, being a big Panic! at the Disco fan I feel I should check out TYV's material. Plus, even if I don't like the singing, I do quite like the actual music. And I think Ryan's voice has actually gotten worse. Listening to his back-up on Live In Denver, he's not that bad. Behind The Sea is alright, but he lost it...

@elennish Jon Walker, from Panic!

Their Genre is totally different from The Beatles.
The Young Veins have short verse's than The Beatles.
Better rhythm, excellent lyrics because of Ryan.
The Beatles music was obvious and pure.
TYV has more meaning to it, and more desolation. I prefer it, although Ryan is a great lyric writer.

Brendon's voice is smooth? Yeah, he has a good range, but I wouldn't describe someone's voice with that much vibrato as being "smooth", but ok.
