  • @PopCulture20 Actually, "What I like about you" was a rip-off of Neil Diamonds "Cherry, Cherry". Look it up!

  • OMG love this song and movie!!

  • Love it all!

  • GREAT SONG & MOVIE.......

  • THIS SOUNDS TOO MUCH LIKE WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU!!!!!! RIP-OFF!!!

  • @PopCulture20 - Just because it has a similar chord progression doesn't make it a ripoff.. this same simple pattern is in thousands of popular songs.

    So, no. :P

  • @kappy0405 for real there's only so many chords any one instrument can make.

  • Holy shit ass what a great song

  • I just watched this movie, my mom tells me to watch certain movies that are simply good for the soul! I like Eddies style, better to burn out than to fade away! Eddies real to me, gives ya somethin hold onto you know what i mean?

  • Thanks educated! I think everyone should spend at least one day on a film set. Quite an eye opener. At the El Marco room where my scene was, there was a shadow being cast on the face of one of the stars. A guy had to get up on a HUGE ladder and weave a piece of black velvet in and out of a chandelier to correct it. I was afriad for him. When he came down, I applauded him!!! I never felt so peaceful or at home in my entire life ... being in that room with all those actors, musicians, etc.

  • Bruce Springsteen has nothing to do with this song you stuiped fuckers !!!!!!!

  • I was in that film ... all great guys!! I was the pianist/singer REGINA LEWIS! Gave "Eddie" some back massages. Was tight. 1st film I think, and he was in the lead role. Great fun - 3 days on the set. Will never view a film the same way again. I stay in my seat until the LAST name is shown now. Each in their own way, were so great! Audio people , sets, camera, directors, gophers, Assistants, Best Boy, etc. They bought 2 piano tunes from me, enabling me to join ASCAP and be one of their writers!

  • @joni4749 Awesome! Way to go down in history!

  • Eddie and The Cruisers = Springsteen meets Hollywood

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was working in Oakland ca. and my co worker pointed to the back of the breakfast joint and said "there's a bar back there if you want to cross that line." I did and I went out and got this album the next day.I would crank it in my truck doing burnouts to and from the jobsites ripped to the gills

  • Bruce Springsteen has nothing to do with this song . This is done by John Caffety and the beaver brown band.

  • I love this music!!!! It just catches ya!

  • I love this song!!!!!!

  • Thank you Palpatine for bringing this song back to life.

  • Great Movie and Song!

  • This film like Empire Records in the 90s' is more popular for its' soundtrack than for anything else

  • Loved this movie, and the soundtrack!!

  • EDDIE & THE CRUISERS WAS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE . EVEN THE 2nd MOVIE WAS GREAT!

    TY

  • @tommyheddenstomboy I thought the first 1 was better than the second one.

  • sometimes there person we kill the dream and work for a long time and we pass cone eddie alive but died doing what she loved his music was his life he was opening the door to the new rock and roll that was coming but the house labels of the time saw things the 70's rock, 80's and mid 90's is something that breasts stay in our life for many

  • It's funny how certain songs in our childhood tend to stick with us as we become adults...

  • Two souls were saved today. This song once belonged to Chris N., but he lives through me!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Loved the movie the first time I saw it back in 1985. I think people love the movie because there's a little bit of Eddie in all of us.

  • If you like this song check out Voice of America's Sons from the Cobra sountrack. It's great too.

  • quite a haunting tune...

stays in my head for days at a time

  • My brother was born about three years after this movie came out, and he sings this song at karaoke every once in a while. The surprising thing is he does so well with it. He does so well, that you'd swear Eddie had taken over his body. My brother always has girls lining the stage when he sings this song, even if they weren't alive when this song came out.

  • My Brother In Laws Friend,

  • when I first heard this, I thought it was a Springstein song....still good...

  • i was leaving high school in 1983 so this movie really responded to me and pare's chrachter i understood his need to keep his past though every thing was changing around him

As indeed it was happening in the eddie and the cruisers time line the second movie really saw him reinvent himself im still working on that one, they are movies the chrachters story and of course the music that really was and still is important to me a special time.

  • i loved the movies and the songs are just amazing!

  • Ohnmy

  • im 16..my parents watched this movie when i was younger and i love the music haha,,i think kinda weird for a 16 male into metal to like this,,actuall love this haha

  • @crazddrifterr great music is timeless dude, I'm 40 and I listen to stuff a lot older than me. when musics good its good this song happens to be great

  • the shit from my childhood ! hahahaha =)

  • @six9carolinas maybe so but that was when music was music

  • I still can't believe that the actual performer John Cafferty is dead. It's his voice you hear, not Michael Pare

  • @porkchops63 John Cafferty isn't dead. The keyboard (The real one) player is. He died of liver failure.
