This was such an awesome movie. I remember watching it as a kid and i was just blown away. The saxophone solo in this song was the reason I learnt how to play sax in high school. If only Eddie and the Cruisers wouldve been real.. Also everybody should check out my channel/videos! Thanks to those who do
You are all getting the Bruce Springsteen thing from wikipedia you non Original mother fuckers. Expect the voice theres not much really to compare Beaver Brown and E street to.
I just watched this movie, my mom tells me to watch certain movies that are simply good for the soul! I like Eddies style, better to burn out than to fade away! Eddies real to me, gives ya somethin hold onto you know what i mean?
Thanks educated! I think everyone should spend at least one day on a film set. Quite an eye opener. At the El Marco room where my scene was, there was a shadow being cast on the face of one of the stars. A guy had to get up on a HUGE ladder and weave a piece of black velvet in and out of a chandelier to correct it. I was afriad for him. When he came down, I applauded him!!! I never felt so peaceful or at home in my entire life ... being in that room with all those actors, musicians, etc.
I was in that film ... all great guys!! I was the pianist/singer REGINA LEWIS! Gave "Eddie" some back massages. Was tight. 1st film I think, and he was in the lead role. Great fun - 3 days on the set. Will never view a film the same way again. I stay in my seat until the LAST name is shown now. Each in their own way, were so great! Audio people , sets, camera, directors, gophers, Assistants, Best Boy, etc. They bought 2 piano tunes from me, enabling me to join ASCAP and be one of their writers!
i was working in Oakland ca. and my co worker pointed to the back of the breakfast joint and said "there's a bar back there if you want to cross that line." I did and I went out and got this album the next day.I would crank it in my truck doing burnouts to and from the jobsites ripped to the gills
It's funny looking back now this movie was set in like 62 I think. This music and the sound this band had did not even exist yet. I know this was not a true story but no one in 62 was playing music like this. Their sound is more of a 70s Bruce Spingsteen kind of music. It would have made more sense to set the movie in the 70s.It's like making a movie set in the 80s with a grunge Nirvana sounding band.It would be historically inaccurate
sometimes there person we kill the dream and work for a long time and we pass cone eddie alive but died doing what she loved his music was his life he was opening the door to the new rock and roll that was coming but the house labels of the time saw things the 70's rock, 80's and mid 90's is something that breasts stay in our life for many
saw the movie years ago and still think of this song, was thinking of it at work so ya i had to look it up its classic that voice they wher a few guys from jersey an they thought theyd never make it big haha
My brother was born about three years after this movie came out, and he sings this song at karaoke every once in a while. The surprising thing is he does so well with it. He does so well, that you'd swear Eddie had taken over his body. My brother always has girls lining the stage when he sings this song, even if they weren't alive when this song came out.
One of my friends is the ex wife of Michael Pare. She was Lacy on the American Gladiators. The original version. I think this guy was and is and will be her only love.
i`m 13 and watch the movie and love it and loved the song on the dark side and all the other great songs of the 60`s thats kinda weird that i like music my grandmas age i wish he didn`t drive off the brige because his music would be the best rock music ever his music will live foever because he is a LEGEND OF ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boba Fett on the sax right there. True Story.
Vader on the keys
TIE fighter pilot on bass.
Random Imperial Officer on skins
(Vader always chokes the drummers out at the end of a gig)
Stormtrooper back up dancers
(But there just strippers in white n black bikinis with boots and the helmets on)
and The Emperor's chirpin' lead vocals
Cmon just look at the pic and picture that hood...
yea, thats what i thought...
