That's the problem, in the US free speech is protected under our First Amendment rights, in the UK anything classed as "undesirable speech" can be banned or made an offence. The last time I was over there I was shocked at the number of Muslims. Both the US and the UK struggle with a vociforous liberal minority who try to set the social agenda for the majority.
