  • I met him in Austin in 1985 at a poetry reading. I was doing a guitar/drum/film performance with "the Runs" and we used my guitar amp for poetry reading. Arthur read his poems with my reverb and tremelo settings. It sounded great. Daniel Johnston went to those readings too.

  • I swear, if you;ve ever heard Greg X. Volz sing, Brown not only looks a dead ringer for him but he sounds it too...could it be? hahahaha

  • He reminds me so much of today's Marc Biedermann of Blind Illusion.

  • The last true prophet, ladies and Gentlemen, the God of Hell Fire his own self, Arthur Brown.

  • wow!

  • Not for me. I like the original intro, far shorter and to the point, this is indulgent and seems to try far too much to be like Jim Morrison with explanation. (imo which I am entitled to)

  • Arthur STILL Can BRING it!!!!!!

  • Awesome....At his peak.......what a star!!!!

  • someone on facebook is telling people he's dead but he isn't he is very much alive and his next gig is july 17th

  • i have probably watched this over and over. It will be a few months and I will just need to see it. Am I the only one.

  • grande maestroooo!!!!!; 5/5

  • Where's that big-fat Hammond and Lesley. Still great. golden, wonderful times.

  • @K3KCT

The big fat hammond was played by Vincent Crane, and sadly hes dead. Not even Arthur can bring him back!

  • @salforddude Man, thanks for this. It escaped me that Vincent Crane was with Art. Brown. We had Atomic Rooster music as teens - bloody wonderful, 'real' music. Quite tragic tale of Vin Crane - what a fantastic player he was.

Want to hear Mr. Crane (and the whole of Atomic Rooster) at their fricken peak?..

Youtube 'VUG' by Atomic Rooster - outstandingly creative, highly musical, energetic, original and very listenable piece. You'll love it!

    Cheers!

  • Living legend.

  • i wanna smoke a biiig joint with that nutty dude... this is a great performance lol

  • The poem intro also presages Eric Burdon's intro to "Spill the Wine."

  • I just noticed that this reminds me of "The End" by The Doors !

    But I wonder why ?

  • jack black could play him, or at least some of the vocals

  • I live it!

He has charisma, and what a true artist.

  • why is this guy not as big as elvis.. fucking love em

  • @mrjcoolness Arthur Brown is not as big as Elvis because he ate fewer Hamburgers!!

  • This guy is nuts!!! :-D

  • He is compelling.

The verse of his song nightmarishly predicts the World Trade Center experience of 9/11.

    Much love going his way!
