hornetobiker: Well, I was born in the Year of the Dog (1946), but that's as close as I get - never was too much of a "joiner", so "Squads" are out. Nope, just a guy that says what he thinks. (By the way, there probably should be a "t" between the "s" and "r" in your spelling of "demonsrative"). Just trying to help - by the way, you never did answer my question (rhetorical though it may have been). :) Have a nice day.
hornetobiker: Get that straight from Rodgers and Hart did you? The world was a bit different in 1938, and to those around at the time (I'm told), it meant if you weren't afraid to work, you'd reap the benefits. Of course times change, so maybe the original concept got lost in the mix. After all, "gay" used to mean "happy".
So many would discount Cass because she's not a skinny minnie. She had a great voice! Their harmonies were great. Also great singers like Luciano Pavarotti, Ella FItzgerald, Beverly SIlls, Leontyne Price, and Placido Domingo aren't skinny either. What comes to mind is all the people who dissed Susan Boyle. As soon as she started singing the jaws hit the floor.
love the song and singer

Did you know that "singing for your supper" was a euphamism for oral sex.
