a very small v10 thats been sound tuned by yamaha its a wonderful car my uncle has one and he loves it but he told me at the end of the day its sil just a lexus lol but its still nice they had to go w a digital rev counter to keep up with the motor cuz it revs so fast form idle to redline in just .6 sec and the motors weighs less than a v6 produced by lexus its truly a wonderful car look up the lexus videos from the factory they show how they tuned the exhaust to break a wine glass

anyone who can afford this car is not going to shrug it off because a GTR might be faster. The GTR is faster than a lot of cars that cost more than it does. The LFA project was started in 2000, this is a true clean sheet design. Its 4.8L V10 makes 552hp with a unique rear mounted 6 speed sequential gearbox that accelerates it from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds and giving it a top speed of 202 mph. The V10 is smaller than a traditional V8 engine, as light as a conventional V6 engine yet generates 115 hp per liter. With only 3,263 lb curb weight, the LFA sure seems like a supercar to me with a power to weight ratio of 6 lbs per horsepower. $375,000 though...

Still, we criticize this car for being "slow" in comparison to other models, while most Ferrari's can get their asses kicked around a track by a Corvette or Nissan GTR at a fraction of the cost, and people still buy those.

7:14 at the Nurbergring on RE070s, which have a 140 treadwear rating. The ONLY production car faster than that was the Viper ACR which has adjustable suspension, aero, more power, and ran on Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, which are gummy and sticky as shit, have an 80 treadwear rating, and have almost no tread, putting more rubber on the road. I can't imagine how that's not up to snuff.

@YuppieGearhead Just looked that up. I wasn't aware of that, but you're mentioning the LFA with the "Nurbergring Package." Price goes up from a very affordable $375,000 to $445,000. Granted, it does indeed perform that time. Bone "stock" LFA is sitting around 7:38; that's a pretty crazy performance increase from best I can tell aerodynamic tweaks and transmission re-calibration. Still, this is exactly what my original comment said... Lexus released a new, faster, more expensive version.

If you look at the other cars he's tested at the the Nurburgring for them, he ran the same time in the ZR1, GTR, LP570 Superleggera, and 458 Italia. An apples to apples lap time comparison would be either Manufacturer claims against each other or same driver tests against each other.

I used the Nurburgring Edition because it was the only factory effort to compare to the other factory efforts in that range.

Audi thought have some issues, but its minor, not expensive to change. All in all yes asian(japanese, korean) are the way to go if you want your car to run for 20 years +, but they to me look very cheap, plastic interior, no quality feel to it, random designs thru out their model line.
