The only way JET would have worked is if Vange was back with John with Todd persuing her. TPTB would never allow John to be in a traingle without him being in the middle with two women wanting him. But must see TV is would have and still will be...
...the same thing happened to Guiding Light. TPTB "decided" to split up the supercouple-Josh Lewis and Reva Shayne to put him with her sister, Cassie. The fans threw a HISSY FIT, and wrote CBS/Guiding Light about it...they didn't change the storyline so guess what??? The fans stopped watching and the ratings TANKED and the show was cancelled because TPTB refused to listen to FANS!!
Yeah, they were afraid to push the envelope with a black woman and a GOOD LOOKING white man. Renee was quickly becoming a MAJOR player on OLTL and they were afraid to go further so they "thought" they would pair up John/Natalie to stop the JOVANness...which didn't work. Now they have very low ratings (because the fans quit watching when they broke JOVAN up), ME will probably leave(because the writers don't know what to do with him), and the show will be cancelled.
I have always respected the close friendship Todd/Van had from the beginning and I can understand him following for Van!!! But John will always be her true love!!!!! I would perfer Todd over Chris that was a mess along with the Jolie situation even Natalie/MA admitted that Jolie was not a real couple, which JoVan fans already knew!!!!
Just damn, damn, DAMN!! A JET triangle would have been soooo hot! I am a Tangie diehard, but Jovan is a VERY close second.. Man, Van would have had a difficult time choosing betw the love of her life and her soulmate.. oh the possibilities!! Damn TPTB!!
