  • If you got rid of the Sopranos, Altos and Basses the (one?) tenor might be OK.

    @Zironyxcyx This is Haydn. Lassus has also written music on the same text, Tristis est anima mea, but so have dozens of other composers.

  • ChoralWiki lists settings of this text by nine different composers, including Gesualdo, Croce and Martini. I don't think Haydn's version has any particular resemblance to the one by Lassus.
